We stopped by for a drink before dinner plans. I wasn't sure I could wait, so ordered the seasonal vegetable plate as a snack and fell in love. Made me want to stay for dinner, but we had plans.. I will be back ;)

I have to tell that we have been there on Saturday night, on August, the 15th. Everything in the dinner was fine; a tender, perfectly rear meat; moussels à la provencale perfectly cooked, warm bread and butter, great beer. But the restaurant is located in the distillery bloks, the crowd waiting is very moving and claiming outside, so the waiter... More

First time to visit distillery and liked the place. We chose pure spirit because one of my friends likes clam chowder. She was kind of disappointed of the chowder because it was not cream based.. Was tomato. Even the calamari was kind of disappointing, serving too little, not the calami we always have on restaurants. At first, we were not... More

We have been to a number of restaurants in the Distillery District and this is our new favorite! The service was excellent even though we ate outside. We tried the oysters that were on special and were not disappointed! We all had different entrees and we all loved our meals. Personally I recommend the pappardelle pasta dish... Lobster, truffle sauce,... More

We ( 3 ladies ) have to send compliments to Ben , our server . Although the food was good , Ben made our evening ! He was tuned in , helpful with the other servers , very gracious , and patient too . Calamari was disappointing, too big of rings and tempura batter was a touch underdone. Tuna salad... More

What a great place to take a break from the endless shops and galleries in the distillery district. Great service, great food. Would come back any time.

This is my go-to place for oysters in Toronto. Maybe not as famous as Oyster Boy or with the authentic feel of Rodney's but service is always top notch and the clam chowder alone is worth the trip.

Great selection of oysters and a cool atmosphere. We opted for a sampler special that included three each of four types for 36 bucks. Salads were delicious as well, everything fresh. I would highly recommend!

The Distillery District was the perfect choice for an adult family group lunch on our recent visit to Toronto.Choosing to avoid the heat outdoors we opted for a cooler inside table for a seafood lunch. We ordered some drinks, beer, cider and iced tea, calamari,Nicoise salads, fish and chips, and a couple of platesof oysters .....yum ! And just for a treat,Yukon fries and sweet potato... More

I've been here a few times and the service is always unbearably slow. A friend and I were here and ordered oysters and two mains, we waited more than an hour for our food. The last time I was there we waited forever just to have our drink orders taken and ended up just getting up and leaving. (Went to... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
