Great food........LONG wait for your food order

We went for lunch and from the time we placed our order we waited over 45 minutes for our order. We asked the waitress how much longer we were going to wait and she brought over a complimentary loaf of delicious pumpernickle bread. The pickle barrel always has very good prices and big portion... read more

A motto lived up to here at Pickle Barrel. Comfortable space with cosy seating that even when very busy would allow conversation. The food is as always freshly prepared with plenty of options. Breakfast (served all day) lunch or dinner there is truly something for everyone. A nice family place that can accommodate large/small parties. You will not be disappointed.... More

Came here with my Mother after some shopping and thought that we'd try the super bowls I believe with quinoa. I had the one with salmon and my mum had the sante fe which she liked. The salmon was dry, didn't taste like their was dressing at all mixed in. When I complained I thought they would at least try... More

Greek salad was terrible. Small and not worth the cost. Smoked meat on challah with pickles and coleslaw....really? What happened to the pickles and coleslaw? Forget to pack it? Didn't know Dempsters made challah - nice try though...2 slices of white bread! 4 slices of a carrot with the chicken wings which were mushy and not crispy.....Probably rates as the... More

Everyone in our group of seven had Montreal style smoked meat, although in different variations. The waiter went through our order like a pilot doing his take-off check list, he even came back a couple of times to reconfirm some of our selections, and in the end everything came out OK. One pair ordered a meat plate consisting of smoked... More

Everything about my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I have been to other Pickle Barrel locations and had acceptable meals. Our waiter barely gave us the time of day, and would barely let anyone finish their order before prompting the next person's order. The food preparation was just as rushed, with the sauce not mixed in at all in... More

There are really just a few restaurants I eat at that I ALWAYS eat the same thing at - okay, you caught me, really just ONE restaurant! And, you guessed it, it is the BBQ BEEF that catches my attention at the original Pickle Barrel, on Leslie Street in North York. Except the last time we visited just this past... More

Astonishing poor service. Might have died before being served. The restaurant was empty but we had to wait to be seated. The food is very ordinary. At least there is parking and the place is clean

My friends and I went there for an evening out. Huge cocktails and delicious food. I had the liver, I know, some people still like it! I got 3 pieces with onion and potatoes. Mmm! A rare find on menus these days. The waiter was accommodating and friendly. We ate and drank until it was almost closing and some of... More

The patio is nice on a hot summer day. I ordered the turkey burger and it came with Brie cheese and avocado (I actually commented on the fact that it was a lot of avocado to my friend, usually restaurants can skimp with it). I also added the extra fried egg on top. I forgot to let the waiter know... More
