Many years ago I had my best Greek food dinner at this restaurant and from time to time I go back. Always disappointed. This week I took my girlfriend there. How embarrassing! Oil.....oil.....oil. The salad was floating. The potatoes were floating. The rice was sucking it in. Well the oily lamb chops were tasteless. I was eating flavorless meat. I... More

Recommended restaurant if you like Greek or European dishes. The waiters are so nice and helpful. You should eat Greek Salad if you visit there.

I took my cousin here on Friday since she has never had Greek food. We went for Taste of the Danforth but when we got there in the middle of the afternoon, nothing was finished being set up yet. So we set out to find a restaurant that looked fairly busy, which meant for us, tasty. This restaurant had a... More

With such contradictory reviews I was sceptical but friends from Toronto chose the restaurant so we went with an open mind. I was very pleasantly surprised. The tarma was well prepared and tasty. The gyros appetizers was enjoyed by all. The service was excellent. The main course were all very good. My grilled calamari was cooked to perfection and extremely... More

We had previously enjoyed lunch at Omonia as a couple, so brought the children for an outdoor lunch as a family once the weather was warm enough. The kids loved everything we ordered for the table: warm pita bread, dips, calamari, and Greek salad. It was a lovely patio to sit in the sun and watch the crowds go by,... More

Worst experience we have ever had in any restaurant. Started with the drinks. ordered 2 martinis at $8.00 each and they were the smallest martinis We had ever seen. Glasses were less than 13 full. Told waiter and he shrugged his shoulders and blamed the bar tender, with no offer to take them back and make the drinks better. 2... More

My wife and I were looking for a nice place to grab a bite on the Danforth so we stopped in at Omonia before a concert. Both the food and service were terrible and it was one of the most over priced restaurants I have ever eaten at and my 2 favourite restaurants in Toronto are Jacob's steakhouse and Michael's... More

On the way back from the hospital I stopped at 2 Greek restaurants on the Danforth for food for my ailing mother and hungry children in order to tide everyone over for the next 4 hour drive. This older man owner? manager? made me pay first - unlike any other restaurant, then when I came back for the food -... More

By far. the best place to eat on the Danforth. Real home cooked goodness. Money cant buy that. That comes from the heart.

My husband and I went to Omonia on a Saturday night after a concert (end of May 2014). Actually we went to Mezes (our favourite Greek restaurant on the Danforth) but the line up was too long, so we decided to try Omonia. It was about half full. Our table was next to two very noisy groups so we asked... More
