One of the best fish and chip places in Toronto. I've tried the fisherman's platter both times (scallop, shrimp, haddock + chips) and it hasn't disappointed me. The halibut and poutine is also phenomenal. This place is so good, there is often times a lineup, but it's worth it!

Delicious halibut and chips. Very generous servings. Service quick, friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced. Great ambience.

Although I live in the area, I've only been enjoying the fish and chips here for about 2 years. The vast majority of the time, I call ahead with my order for pick up and everyone I have had contact with is really friendly and helpful. Their fish (halibut or haddock) and chips are sooo good and occasionally I order... More

I wanted to celebrate some good news with some comfort food. I had halibut and chips. The fish was impeccably battered and not greasy. My partner was delighted with his cod and, as a British import, pronounced the mushy peas to be the genuine article. The homemade key lime pie was sublime. Definitely worth a return visit.

We've been to many fish 'n chip shops in Toronto but by far, Olde Yorke is our favorite. A true, English style pub where the fish is fresh, crispy and not over battered. The chips are homemade. Nothing is greasy. You can choose from halibut, haddock or cod. Mushy peas, homemade desserts and friendly service complete the picture. Prices are... More

The food is delicious and the board at the top of the stairs always puts a smile on my face. My personal favorite is the haddock and chips although others in my family are partial to the cod. The tartar sauce and coleslaw are very good while the bread they server prior to your meal leaves a lot to be... More

Our senior friends kept raving about this place so we finally tried it. They were absolutely right! Hot, fresh fish, not greasy, great fries and for me, great gravy. Decor is what you would expect for a local fish and chip place. Prices very reasonable and there is parking on site too!

Even the hake is delicious. It's simple fare done very well. The fish is fantastic and the chips and salad are good. A guilty pleasure.

Olde Yorke is probably the best fish and chips in the city and worth the wait, if you arrive at peak time. The wait is never too long but sometimes the entry does get a little crowded. While there are a couple of choices of fish, the haddock is outstanding, with light and crispy batter. The Fisherman's Platter also includes... More
