A meal at The Old Spaghetti Factory is an experience. We invest meticulous attention to our decor so our guests feel as though they're stepping into another world. Every location is adorned with antique lighting, intricate stained glass displays and an old-fashioned trolley car that doubles as a dining hall. Nearly every item on The Old Spaghetti Factory's menu is made on-site, from scratch, using fresh ingredients. Unlike most restaurants, when you order our entrees, we serve you a complete meal, which includes bread, soup or salad, and dessert. And with our famous kid's menu, special treats and fun activities, we encourage families to feel at home in our restaurants. The Old Spaghetti Factory is still family owned and operated and we welcome your family to join ours for a memorable dining experience.

Doesn't ever seem to get old

This is my third visit and it never disappoints. Such a great restaurant for three reasons: 1. Large, amazing portions, 2. Incredible, vintage décor (who else can say they had lunch in a 1920s streetcar?!) and 3. Salad, Bread and Ice Cream with each meal. The food is always good here. Will always... read more

Great food. Try the Tuscan lasagna. A little pricey but nice atmosphere and good food. Would eat there again, great for families.

Our family of 4 went to the OSF recently after catching a game at the Pan Am games. We had just missed the lunchtime rush so there was no wait for a seat. The added bonus was that we were able to order from the less expensive lunch menu. We always enjoy the complimentary sour dour bread brought warm to... More

Our family of 5 enjoyed the fun atmosphere and good food. I was impressed by how quickly we were seated on what was obviously a very busy day.

Went with wife and 3 young children. The decor is old and whimsical. Could hardly keep the kids from looking around. I ordered the lasagna and it was ok. Wife enjoyed her tortellini. Our service was good. Waiter came by often checking on us. I would go again, not for awhile though. Might just try the spaghetti.

This is the worst Italian food in Toronto. Only come here if you have small children who only will eat the most bland of food but will like the atmosphere.

lovely quirky restaurant, we visited it twice! The first night we ate in a old streetcar that they had in the restaurant it had such character and atmosphere.

I was there ten days ago. I have to say that my experience was poor. Although the dishes were impressive the taste was mediocre and heavy for the stomach, difficult to digest and next day i had bowel problems. Also when it was time for the check i put the time i wanted and the waitress in a rather rude... More

The price was far too much for average food. The food was decent and you do get a good amount but it's definitely not worth the price. The atmosphere is very cosy and a nice interior.

A lot of people don't seem to give this place a fair chance. Likely because the place your parents used to take you as a kid because it is well-priced and fun can't still be relevant. If you're looking for the absolute finest Italian dining experience, this isn't the place. But if you're in the mood for some decent pasta... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
