After being greeting by the Shogun warrior statue at the door my group was escorted to a little private dining alcove. I also noticed there were tatami room available for larger groups. The sushi was excellent, although I've had better, there was nothing to complain about. Very typical selection given. For waht it was and for the price it was... More

Menu price is reasonable till you get the order. I keep it simple and order the Sashimi Moriawase for $28.50. The price seem reasonable till you get the order. I was suppose to get seven different variety of fish on got six, missing the BC tuna, plus they only give you two slice of each. The miso soup was okay... More

The Sushi a la Carte was excellent. The service impeccable in traditional Japanese dress. The Saba one of the best I've had and Ika that was silky and without that unbearable chewiness in most Sushi places. Our server, in a mint green Kimono was proper, respectful and diligent. Her recommendation of Sake was spot on for the meal. The private... More

Nami was recommended to me through a friend. I felt that the price was a bit steep when I first looked at their menu but decided to give it a try anyways. We ordered their appetizer special which was grilled mixed Japanese mushrooms, it was really good and we finished it very quickly. For the main courses, we ordered the... More

Decided to go to Nami based on the reviews here. Was a little worried when I went in and was the only patron but continued anyways. Enjoyed the sushi and maki. A little on the pricey side but that's what I expect for good quality. Good service and atmosphere.

This Restaurant has been around forever! And its still one of the best Japanese Restaurants in Toronto. I would definitely recommend the grilled black cod, the sushi pizza, and the sushi spring rolls. I also love the sushi salad, and i have never had tempura like the one i had at Nami. By far the best ever!

Plenty of people end up at sushi restaurants who don’t like eating sushi, and I count myself amongst those numbers. Our company Christmas lunch ended up at Nami because they have a private room at the back of the restaurant, and our boisterous group needed the privacy. Most people seem to like sushi. Sadly, I do not. But this restaurant... More

We have been at Nami a couple of times and enjoyed their fine food and friendly service in the cozy private 4 persons' booths. But we have never enjoyed it better than this week when we had dinner there with larger group of friends in the beautiful private tatami style Japanese dining room (seating 22 plus 2 a bit cramped... Shortly after moving to Toronto 5 years ago, I went to Nami on a date with my boyfriend. At first, I was a bit surprised as the prices were a bit higher than what I was used to in B.C., but I found that the quality of the food was (and still is) well worth the higher price. Being of... More

I really enjoyed the food. I think the problem for me is that it was so hyped to me before I went. If you go in expecting good food you will be pleased.
