A downtown sushi oasis

Often we crave a comfort experience, where the staff are understatedly gracious and the sushi chef anticipates our preference, and in the order we enjoy. No, this is not your mother serving sushi. However, it is as close as you can get to that. The fish is perennially fresh, replenished almost... read more

A colleague treated me to dinner here. It was during Winterlicious, and it was busy! The service and food were both of very high quality. I loved the decor. Everything was very clean, and it was obvious that this establishment is very well run. The beef sashimi was outstanding. I will absolutely dine here again and would highly recommend it.... More

Used to be very good. But has gone downhill. At one time the food was very good. There are so many other better places in Toronto for sushi

Terrific quality here at Nami. I sat at the sushi bar and observed the chefs at work, what a pleasure! They carefully sharpened their knives before every customer, working with speed and precision. From the quality of the fish, to the beautiful cuts, to the perfect flavouring of the rice, this was a memorable dinner and I'm sure to be... More

My boyfriend and I went for a late dinner last night. We ordered a seafood salad and kaiso salad to start, the premium sushi dinner, the black cod, tuna tataki and an a la carte order of tamago. Before our meal came, I was just looking around when I saw one of the sushi chefs drop a decorative carrot piece... More

From the moment you come in you know this will be good. The authentic Japanese dresses and the lighting set the scene. The booths are great if available and the menu is very complete. The rolls are extra special and beautifully presented. When the bill arrives you will be pleasantly surprised as you would expect to pay more for. Highly... More

In the heart of downtown Toronto, this is by far the best Sushi in Toronto! The atmosphere is dimly lit which sets the mood if you are with a significant other. The service is premium with the waiters/waitresses always asking how you are doing, filling your water etc. The taste of the sushi...BAR NONE the best in the city! You... More

Found out about Nami while trying to find Take Sushi on Front Street. Take Sushi was a staple for any trip to Toronto and when we found that it had closed, but was merged with Nami, we immediately headed to Nami. And we weren't disappointed. Another great meal, attentive wait staff and we'll be back again!

Stopped by for dinner before a Rascall Flatts concert and enjoyed a great meal.We went as a party of nine including three kids and two teenagers and they all loved the sushi! I haven't been back here in over a decade (my wife used to go here a ton when she worked down the street) since our kids were born,... More
