Located close to Toronto's Yorkville area, Mistura opened in October of 1997 to rave reviews and continues today with the same ideals. It boasts excellent quality, seasonal menus prepared Chef Massimo Capra's way and served by the professional and knowledgeable team. Mistura is about hospitality that's fun and comfortable, set in an elegant candle-lit atmosphere. A contemporary Italian cuisine reflects a simplified yet refined approach to taste. An extensive wine list, including wine from some of the world's finest vineyards, and an attentive, knowledgeable staff add to the appeal. Perhaps you prefer a more intimate, private setting. Mistura's private dining room holds 14 people, while the semi-private dining room holds up to 40, to cater to your more private functions.

One of the best in Toronto

One of the best restaurants I have been to in Toronto. Great food (I had the beet risotto, which was amazing! ), great service, great wine list. Interior is classic and intimate. I definitely recommend this place.

Everything about Mistura is first rate. The food is wonderful, the wine list is endless, there are enough choices on the Scotch list to warm the cockles of a Gaelic heart, and the service is superb.

I was a co-honoree at a partnership retirement dinner on June 4th. I had never been to this restaurant before. Everything was perfect. It was a memorably enjoyable evening. I was particularly impressed with how patiently and how well both the wait staff and the chefs coped with the long interruption between ordering & serving the main course so to... More

Food was excellent, we had a new waiter but will be back :) Food was actually perfect!!! I can't fault the new waiter other than he should have known the menu and when we say we are not ready don't keep coming back every 2 minutes LOL We as diner's do have etiquette maneuvers that subtly tell you we are... Room was really nice. Waitress was not friendly. Food was average at best. I know Chef Massimo was not there but not sure how much he is there anymore. Had been there a few times in the last two years and the food has gone down hill.

Why have I waited so long to go back here? If you have read any of my previous reviews for other restaurants you will know that I believe that the front of kitchen staff are as important to the dining experience as the food that comes out of the kitchen. Here the service is impecable where all the servers work... More

I was blown away with the meal. I was expecting small portions like other restaurants served during Winterlicious because of the fixed price. They gave us full size portions that allowed us to experience the restaurant in full. This is not about Winterlicious, it is the great food and unbelievable service. Well done. We will be coming back.

I am still waiting for the ball to drop at Mistura... it hasn't. The food, the service, the atmosphere.. perfect.. What surprised me more than anything else were the portion sizes. They were quite abundant. Any reviewer that suggests that Mistura needs to keep up with the times, is simply a fallacy. They don't know food! A restaurant needs to... More

The food at Mistura is good, but not great. As others have mentioned, the service can also be a little less than desired. It is not as though the food or service is bad, it is just not great. For example, on a recent visit the server was very rushed and didn't seem to be able accommodate questions or provide... More

Went for dinner with my wife on a recent Friday night, and was greeted by an "interesting" hostess, that suggested that we sit right at our table, 5 minutes before our reservation time, as opposed to having a customary (in my books) drink at the bar first. After finally agreeing to our request, we sat at the bar and watched... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
