A Great Brunch full of imagination and flavor

We were down at the CNE grounds and wanted a place close for dinner so we found Mildred's. We have a little 17 month old girl so finding a kid friendly place with good food is difficult at times. I had the chicken and waffles, my wife had chicken and nan, and our baby had the oxtail gnocchi poutine. Everything... More

I was very excited to come to this restaurant having heard good things. The good - bright space with a nice decor. Well situated. Good food. The ugly - We arrived and there was a line up to be seated. Fine, until one of the Hostess' friends jumped the line, grabbed a menu and had a ten minute conversation with... More

The overall atmosphere is warm and friendly. The waitress give great recommendations, I had the grilled cheese with a pancake on the side. I was hungry and I could barely finish my meal, everything was delicious, only critique is that they could put a bit more dressing on the salad. I usually enjoy a tea after a brunch meal but... The pancakes were delicious, the eggs benedict smoked salmon croissant was amazing. One of my favourite brunch spots in the city.

I happened upon Mildred's Kitchen by chance, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food, decor, and service. The staff was extremely friendly. I opted for the delicious grilled cheese sandwich and salad.

Mildred's has a great ambiance when full of people and the food is great. The only complaint is the bench seating they call "nooks". If you're easy about a dirty couch bench don't ask for that area. The rest of the restaurant has tables with chairs....which are clean. The Whisky cocktails are delicious, they also have a small selection of... More

I have been coming to this restaurant for about 20 years. Even in its original location the policy was first come first serve. It is the policy and that is fine. I have waited over an hour to eat here but won't ever wait here again. Dining out is about the experience. My boyfriend and I decided to invite out... More

They must have a personality test before hiring the wait staff. Everyone from the host to wait staff are pure sunshine! We arrived for dinner on a rainy Monday March 16th. The host and our waiter were a delight. Now for the atmosphere. The outside should be lite a bit more it looked closed when we walked up to the... More

We went during Winterlicious and had 3 course set menu. Place was busy but we did not wait too long. Servers were friendly and helpful. All 3 courses were very tasty, good sized portions and served in time. Very modern decor quite different from the old Mildred Pierce (with it's vintage charm). Fried chicken on waffle was crispy outside and... More
