Brunch with friends...

We arrived just as the restaurant opened and it was already chaotic. They reserved a table for us, but we had to wait for all our party to arrive. This is as stupid as can be, the vestibule was crowded and loud, I wouldn't add more bodies to the mix. We each tried a different dish, but no one... read more

This restaurant was highly recommended and I see why, lovely menu with great natural ingredients and delivered beautifully. Excellent service within a cool environment. A must visit if you're in the Liberty Village area.

My friends and I have decided to go to Mildred’s for a Sunday brunch. There is nothing outstanding about my experience. Here are my observations: Food Their food was hit or miss. For the hits, the slow-cooked fluffy pancakes are amazing and one of a kind. It came with 3 giant biscuit-looking pancakes doused in blueberry syrup and topped with... More

The pancake was interesting and good. The brunch special was a beef on cornbread - it was completely mushy, lacked flavour, and had a lot more mushrooms than actual beef... The server was excellent but the service wasn't - they had her running an unworkable number of tables, including a party of twenty. She was extremely fast yet friendly -... More

We had a great experience dining here on our visit to Toronto. There was a bit of a wait here, but it will be worth your time. The breakfasts here are imaginative, and full of flavor. The presentation and preparation immaculate. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The price is a bit steep for a breakfast though, but worth the... More

We were down at the CNE grounds and wanted a place close for dinner so we found Mildred's. We have a little 17 month old girl so finding a kid friendly place with good food is difficult at times. I had the chicken and waffles, my wife had chicken and nan, and our baby had the oxtail gnocchi poutine. Everything... More

I was very excited to come to this restaurant having heard good things. The good - bright space with a nice decor. Well situated. Good food. The ugly - We arrived and there was a line up to be seated. Fine, until one of the Hostess' friends jumped the line, grabbed a menu and had a ten minute conversation with... More

The overall atmosphere is warm and friendly. The waitress give great recommendations, I had the grilled cheese with a pancake on the side. I was hungry and I could barely finish my meal, everything was delicious, only critique is that they could put a bit more dressing on the salad. I usually enjoy a tea after a brunch meal but... The pancakes were delicious, the eggs benedict smoked salmon croissant was amazing. One of my favourite brunch spots in the city.

I happened upon Mildred's Kitchen by chance, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food, decor, and service. The staff was extremely friendly. I opted for the delicious grilled cheese sandwich and salad.
