Ms. beiderhofs pancakes are by far my favourite pancakes in the city. Never disappointed. Busy on the weekends, but well worth the wait. (Go during the week. They still have them and it's not nearly as busy!)

Came for brunch with my friend on a week day and it was still pretty busy. Although there was only 1 server for about 6 tables, she was absolutely wonderful: Accommodating, insightful and friendly. We shared a grilled cheese and some eggs benedict between the two of us and on the advice of the server, a pancake for dessert. We... More

My husband and I shared the Feast for 2 and really enjoyed it. Really all you need to know is that the Trout was so beautifully cooked that it made you forget you were also served a piece of really lovely fried chicken. The only quibble with the meal, but not enough of a quibble to dock my score, was... More

The first time I went to this place I was disappointed. The second time I thought it would be better BUT it was a total disaster. The menu is over priced the portions are small and the service is bad. Our party of eight went to this restaurant on Sunday. Thirty minutes after the order is placed we are told... More

We were staying in Downtown for the night and were recommended this place for brunch by our hosts. With no prior knowledge about this place our group was very pleasantly surprised. The brunch menu is very different and provides a vast range of dishes .. I definitely recommend the pancakes, they were the best pancakes I have had in a... More

I absolutely loved this place. We came here for brunch on Canada Day, it was quite full and we had to wait close to an hour to get a table but it was really worth it. The blueberry pancakes are heaven. Also the salmon eggs are super delicious. The service was really friendly and I loved the atmosphere of the... More

I only had one morning in Toronto, so I had to choose wisely, but this turned out to be the best option. It was within walking distance from where I was staying (bonus!) and has lovely decor and a lively vibe. I got in right before the morning brunch rush (around 11am) so we were able to be seated right... More

Nice atmosphere in Liberty Village. My family had the delicious breaded chicken, large portions, I had the coffee rubbed ribs also a nice size. We had nicely plated appetizers. The wait staff were attentive. They are known for their brunch but it was a nice dinner. They have a good patio as well.

I had been to this restaurant before and I always liked it. Thought the menu and the taste of food is unique. We went there for summerlicious with my nieces. The girls all enjoyed their food and really liked the restaurant. I was a bit disappointed. May be, it is the summerlicious menu that is a bit too ordinary. I... More

Neighborhood Profile
Queen Street and West Queen West
Known as the Art & Design District, West Queen West is one of the most energetic and dynamic of Toronto's neighborhoods. Along with its great modernist museums, clubs, and restaurants, it's home to some of the funkiest specialty shops, ranging from clothing to stationary to collectables, and caters to niche and vintage shoppers of all kinds. That makes it a mecca for creatives, including hobbyists designers, writers, and painters. With ink on their hands and fabric pelts in their bags, visitors to Queen Street traverse the avant-garde blend of historic architecture and ultra-contemporary fare. Home to some of Toronto's chicest hotels and most modish java fixes, busy with street cars, and always suffused with live music drifting onto packed patios at bars and clubs by nightfall, the vibrancy of West Queen West is undeniable.
