Real Deal Vietnamese

According to the friends who treated, this is the real deal for Vietnamese food. We had the bun which was loaded with noodles, pounded shrimp-wrapped sugar cane, grilled chicken, vegetables, and a crispy spring roll. With a lovely pink broth to smother the lot. Very tasty. And, light.

I used to live in the area and came here from time to time as it was a favorite of mine. Now that I live out of the city we decided to pop in for lunch on the way to the marina. As good as I remember and maybe better! Food is served in a timely manner with a great... More

Been going to Mi Mi's for overt 10 years. I have never been disappointed a meal there. Everything is fresh, flavourful and delicious. You can get huge bowls of pho cheap and all kinds of other Vietnamese fare there. The only thing that is lacking is the decor; but to me that's not a big deal. The food is very... More

A classic choice. Great food, great service, not pretentious. Best spring rolls, you can't really go wrong with what you order but the pork chops on rice and the make your own roll platters are some of my favourites. Great for groups too, they have the big round tables.

For $5 you can grab yourself a BIG bowl of pho full of goodness. Hands down the best pho I've ever had. Keep it up!

We've been coming here for a decade, but Toronto Life had just identified it as THE place for Vietnamese in Toronto, which I found out about as we entered and a couple told me it was their first visit, due to a review they had read "somewhere," and that they were sure coming back. Are you here because of the... More

Okay, decor is not much and the googly eyed fish greeting you at the front are shocking, but you come here for the great feeling and the great food. Nee and her family run this place with her Mom and Dad in the kitchen, they know most regulars by name and it's like being in somebody's home kitchen. The Vietnamese... More

We have eaten Vietnamese food in many places in North America and this is our favourite. The menu may be slightly smaller than other places but the food is simply delicious, apparently authentic, fresh and flavourful. It is a "family" restaurant and we, and our children are remembered as family over at least a 15 year period. We eat there... More

I love this place. Terrific if you want comfort food at the end of a long week. Great atmosphere..always warm and friendly. Deep fried spring rolls are best for starting off. Rice noodles with barbecued pork and soups on the side...or try the extra large chicken soup with noodles....been going here for years. You gotta try it.

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
