We like the open kitchen and sitting on the stools watching the cook prepare the food. This is an old fashion diner with no nonsense food at good prices. We were lucky to find street parking twice for visits here in the last month! Over the years, we have not been disappointed in the service, the food or the value.

This place is the definition of 50's style greasy spoon, the decor, the booth's the cramped pace with the stools at the counter really define it. The food is pretty good considering the type of place it is, this place always provides VERY fast service, and a decent breakfast. Don't expect anything fancy here. The homefries are really good, the... More

We had intended to go to another restaurant for brunch, but it was closed. Our second choice had a 45 minute wait. The lady in line behind us suggested that if we didn't want to wait there were a couple of choices close by and she suggested Mars if we were okay with basic brunch. We had walked past Mars... More

Issues: Dirty restaurant, lousy service, Cross-contamination in food preparation Hardly anyone in the restaurant at 2pm. We ordered items and were advised they weren't available. This place has too many items on their menu for a slow restaurant. There was food on the floor by prep area. The cook preparing making my companions chicken breast burger picked up raw chicken... My girlfriend and I found this by accident while waiting for the TTC streetcar and checked it out. Staff where more than friendly and couldnt have been nicer. The food was delicious, we only went for breakfast. The ONLY problem is I had a huge appetite for breakfast .and the portion didnt quite fill me. Atmosphere is so relaxed and... More

Had the Big Time breakfast...three eggs, three peameal bacon slices, two toast, hash browns, coffee...cost $8.99. Only three tables were occupied and ordered and had my food before I knew it. For a filling breakfast, it's just fine.

I came here with my 9 month old daughter on a Sunday morning just to grab a bite to eat and get out of the house (didn't feel like waiting 30 mins at aunties and uncles). They didn't know if they had a high chair but then someone found one so we stayed. Staff are all senior citizens. Nothing against... More

Used to frequent Mars while at U of T and later with a buddy after I graduated who loved the place. 2nd last time I was there, the food was not what it used to be and service was weak. Gave it one more try. The LAST time I went to Mars we walked in and exchanged a "hello" with... More

I just made a stop here because my iPhone was getting repaired and I didn't know what to do. I saw the Toronto Life Best restaurant on the display and thought it would be nice to pay a visit. First of all, there was a homeless person eating here (ew!). I mean it's a little bit weird to enter in... More
