Dining, Drinks and Dancing...

Fantastic place to have an exquisite meal on the Danforth. I highly recommend the braised lamb shank. Great atmosphere and a friendly staff always make for a wonderful evening. Fridays and Saturdays they usually have DJ's playing and people dancing from 10 til 2.

In my day, if an establishment wanted to call itself a chinchilla lounge, chinchillas either had to be the patrons, serving the drinks, or appear on the menu or at least the coat rack.

Once again, Lolita's Lust did not let us down. We stopped here on the patio to watch people go by at the Taste of the Danforth. We ordered two magical cocktails, as they all are here. We shared the roasted peppers and feta appetizer and the Mediterranean platter, and both were, as always, unique and spectacular. The chef here just... More

Unique and somewhat eclectic, this remains one of our favourite restaurants on the Danforth year in and year out. Great wait staff, food is always bang on, fully worth checking out

It's been a busy winter, what with all the snow, and five boys. Tonight I came here with a friend. It was like coming home. This is one of my favourite places on the Danforth for sure. Great servers, who balance friendly and casual with superior service. LOVE the ever-evolving drinks menu. And the food? Surpassed my expectations yet again.... More

I was taken out for dinner while visiting a friend on a nasty, windy, cold winter night. We walked in, IMMEDIATE WARMTH (but, not just the temperature - lovely - but, the ambiance of the place)... Intimate, cozy, inviting, small but, well appointed, relaxed...would be the words which immediately come to mind. AND SMELLS of all things wonderous* We were... More

I booked a Valentine's Day dinner at Lolita's based on articles I read calling it one of the most romantic restaurants in the city. I imagined gazing into my sweetheart's eyes across a cosy booth or intimate table. I made reservations well in advance, and was happily prepared to spend $65 per person, plus drinks, tax and gratuities, for the fixed... More

This is the third time I've been at Lolita's Lust over the last four years and every time is a different, wonderful experience. Sydney and the rest of the staff are great. We were a group of four visiting Toronto for the weekend. We ordered several items off the menu to share. Absolutely everything was delicious. Especially the Mediterranean tasting... More

Traditional non-Greek fare in a Greek dominated neighbourhood. This place is not to be missed - the food is excellent. Their menu is not extensive, but all the dishes offered are cooked just right. Don't forget the side dishes either, especially the scalloped potatoes. Good wine list too. A bit pricey but worth it.

Hostess/owner Sydney remembers your preferences months later, always gracious and welcoming, attentive service; 3 of us old pals shared succulent chicken livers, prosciutto asparagus - wonderful. One had huge portion of trout (delicious), the other bacon-wrapped scallops (huge and delicious), I had shrimp -- heavenly, more than I could finish. Spicy hummus served with Italian bread highly recommended too. No... More

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
