Le Papillon on Front is located in the heart of Old Town Toronto. Inside of a beautiful Old Town Toronto building with exposed brick walls and high lofty ceilings sits the beautiful venue for Le Papillon on Front. It's exposed brick is complemented well by the aged hardwood floor and perfectly soft lighting. The venue suggests a lovely mix of romance, comfort, and of course, the classic French bistro atmosphere that has followed Le Papillon to all of its locations. In the warmer months Le Papillon on Front even creeps its way onto Front street, giving a beautiful view of the Flatiron building as well as the CN tower in the distance. With a closed in patio adorned with wonderfully arranged planters you experience a private feel, even while sitting on the heart of Front Street.

Nice place ; good food

Very nice decor of French inspiration. Food was good, not exceptional. We had a good time though and nothing went wrong. We would recommend it.

The ambiance was nice, calming and the exposed bricks gives the place a sense of history. Our waiter, Alex ,was friendly enough but a bit of a hurry to get our orders in. My vodka dirty martini was perfectly done. The french onion soup is definitely one of the best that I've had but I do wish it was a... More

My husband and I were on a sentimental journey. We used to visit Le Papillon in the years B.C. (before children). We decided to go there to celebrate my birthday. The meal we had did not disappoint. The salad and onion soup were just as nice as we remembered from our last visit. The crepes "De la mer" and steak... More

Le Papillon on Front has a long history in the neighbourhood. This location has moved in a direction that keeps the best of the menu in a more contemporary setting. I tasted all the dinner crepes, and enjoyed. The meat dishes are good too. Though it is French, I think I would consider it a bit more on the Quebecois... More

The restaurant is well managed, the service is very courteous and prompt. The food was delicious and very nicely presented. The place itself is wonderful. The only minus I want to mention is that our server did not speak French. However, the overall experience was very good and we will definitely return.

Went here for brunch with my husband and daughter on a Sunday around noon. We were easily able to get a table. Waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. My daughter had escargot, I had scallops and my husband the shrimp as appetizers . They were all delicious! My husband had a de la mer crepe which was also very good.... More

I was in Toronto for a convention, discovered this restaurant, and what a find! The food is excellent; the waitress recommended the French Onion Soup, told us it was rated the best in Toronto, and I have to say all of us agreed that it was the best we'd ever had. Although I indicated that I was there for dinner,... More

Was at Papillon last week. Overall agreat dinner and experience. The reason for not giving a 5? I got the chicken with peach sauce - I have a keen palate - something about the peach sauce was "off". I don't know if it was intended to taste that way, but something was Un - appealing to me.
