My wife and I live north of the city and visited with friends. So happy they picked this spot. The food and service were excellent. Thanks to Nico for taking such good care of us. We will return.

Recently visited Toronto and had a family dinner here. What a great place! It had a very nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. The food was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant is in the Little Italy section of the city do it's a bit away from downtown but definitely worth traveling to.

This was our first time in Toronto and our first dinner in one of the neighborhoods. My first bit of advise would be eat in the neighborhoods and not downtown for price, quality and value. As to La Forchetta, would couldn't have been happier. It's cozy and intimate, yet lively. I think it's advertised at 40 tables, but it seemed... More

Three of us had dinner here on a Thursday night. Two of us had the $30 prix fixe, available Monday to Thursday. It is an excellent value, with lots of choice for starter, main and dessert. We really liked the bread that came while waiting for our starters. We had the mussels in a tomato broth, then I had the... More

Food was delicious and wait staff were polite and helpful. We went at 8:30 on a Saturday night and luckily got seated quickly, every other table was full. I would definitely return if I'm in Toronto again.

Great Italian restaurant in central Tronto. Very attentive and friendly service, too. We shared a platter of antipasti accompanied by delicious bread. My fish soup main was to die for. The restaurant allows you to bring your own bottle of wine for a reasonable corkage fee. I'd be very happy to go back.

Went on a Sunday with the family. Special of the day was home made spaghetti pasta with bolognese sauce. A very brave offering for a restaurant. A good one has no deviation from good. An this was good-a solid effort. The only complaint was the parmesan cheese. They used the big box bitter version. Come on man...when you play with... More

We visited this restaurant for lunch since it's open longer hours during the Pan Am games. We were the only people there at first but it filled up quickly after that. We each tried something different for starters and mains, so between us we tasted most of the menu... and I can only say: WOW. This is some of the... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
