Excellent meal, great location right across the street from Princess of Wales Theater. Was able to get a last minute reservation before going to see Book of Mormon. The staff was friendly and did a great job making sure there was plenty of time to get to the show. Interesting twists on some standard Italian dishes. Had a salmon-leek fettuccine... More

My friend and I have had dinner at La Fenice a few times before attending plays a block or two away. When you make a reservation, they ask if you are going to the theater and are very careful to time things so you are not rushed. Whenever we eat here, we receive a pleasant greeting and are seated comfortably.... More

Have walked past many times but today went in for lunch with a visitor from France. We were all impressed by the quality of the food (salmon pasta, mushroom pasta and the crepes) and the service, while a little slow to get started was excellent after that. When I saw how smart the decor was and how smart the wait... More

This is a very nice Italian restaurant set in the entertainment district, across from Bell Lighthouse. Not too big, but always full. Food is awesome. The staff are very prompt, kind & courteous. We were four and we had the seafood platter, the tenderloin, seafood spaghettini, chicken. All of the dishes were simply put...fantastic. We were in a bit of... More

We ate here twice after trying to find a restaurant in down-town Toronto that wasn't messed up with loud music. We were well looked after and the food was lovely. If you wanted to customise your choice, the waiter would certainly do his best to help. The meals were correctly priced, and when called for, were served on hot plates.... More

The four of us decided our last night in Toronto should be enjoyed with a good meal with wine and dessert. All of us ordered the nightly special, tenderloin topped with Tiger shrimp, including an appetizer and dessert. My appetizer was PEI mussels in a light tomato and white wine sauce which was outstanding. We dined outside and the service... More

My wife and I dined at La Fenice for her birthday. The service was incredible ! The wine list was fabulous! The appetizers were wonderfully plated and delicious. The main entres were so mediocre. The presentation was certainly not done by a world class chef and the portions were very small. Not worth the cost of the evening.

My husband and I went to Toronto for a Yankee Game in June. We wanted to have a late lunch before the game. Most restaurants close between lunch and dinner which makes it difficult to find a decent place to eat during that "lull" time. I happened upon La Fenice on the Internet and after looking at the menu, suggested... More

We came upon La Fenice by complete accident as we were going down King Street in Toronto but it was a pleasant surprise for us. The food and wine were both good. We both enjoyed our dining experience on our last night in Toronto. We would definitely recommend this to other visitors to your fair city.

I had not been to this restaurant in a long while and decided to try it again. It was so good that I was trying to remember why I was so stupid as to not having returned earlier. The dishes were superb and the service was also fantastic. We had Angelo serving us. Friendly, engaging, with lots of great suggestions... More
