You get a lot of empanada for what you pay for but the meat empanadas could use some additional flavor. My wife and I tried the beef, chicken, and cheese empanadas. All three had very good pastry. The ground beef empanadas also had what seemed like boiled egg and olives but could have used additional flavor for me. The chicken... More

I happened upon this place as my original lunch spot had a line going out the door. This little place is just like the name said "jumbo empanadas" It is very small and unassuming but huge on customer service and great food. I had the chicken empanada full of great flavor combinations. The pastry was cooked perfectly and crispy. I... More

I try to get here every time I'm staying in Toronto and I've even driven the 70 miles into Toronto JUST to eat there (along with a take-out order). This is not a fancy place, usually pretty warm inside (winter and summer), but the food is top notch, made from fresh ingredients without shortcuts. I'm particularly fond of the cheese... More

Excellent Chilean style empanadas in Kensington market. Had a cheese and a chicken. Both were excellent. Unique place for a nice snack when in the area.

Smells like mamas when you walk in to the place. Loved the beef empanadas and especially the very fresh salad. HIghly recommended for a quick and delicious meal.

A tasty experience and a nice vibe await you. Empanadas and Toronto are best pals, get them here! Stop in here for a snack on the way in or out of the market and be glad you did.

We fell in love with the delicious food and cheap prices, was definitely worth our while. We tried the beef empanada (by far my favorite), the corn pie, and a cheese empanada (also super delicious). The corn pie was the priciest thing we got, and could feed 3 people without a doubt! Very filling and very good, until we found... More

Took my South American mrs with me to test this place out. It passed with flying colours. Delicious large empanadas. The beef should be your first choice. Then the chicken. The veg one is only for die-hard vegetarians. Anyway, perfect crust, lovely fillings. Mexican-style salsa not really authentic but went well with the meat pies. Verdict: Worth the schlep to... More

Don't bother with the imposters... these are the real deal and fresh made pico de gallo to boot!! Our fave is the juicy beef empanada, laced with salty olive, sweet succulent raisins and aromatic melt in your mouth caramelized onion.... how can you not stop in and stuff your face on the best bargain in Kensie?? YUM!
