Jerusalem is probably one of the best Middle-Eastern restaurants mid-town Toronto. Year after year, we keep enjoying our lunches and dinners at Jerusalem. The portions are generous and pricing affordable. In some restaurants, the lamb chops often look like samples. Not so at Jerusalem! I wholeheartedly recommend them. The owners are not stingy and the quality is always reliable. As... More

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and the service and food quality have remained consistently very good...... excellent beef kabobs made from filet mignon cut of beef, fried tomatoes are excellent & the best hummus I've had in Toronto. Highly recommended by this diner!

We ate at the "best" (i.e. expensive) restaurants in Toronto - & then we discovered Jerusalem Restaurant - Fabulous! The very best in the city not only for middle eastern food but also the best value restaurant in Toronto for money. The food never disappoints us nor does the warm welcome & the excellent & friendly service. The patrons are... More

Very fresh food for sure!Wonderful flavours of the Middle East !Not overpowering but just right in our opinion . Service is very good here. neighbourhood atmosphere. Very busy & lined up out the door to get in . I could not believe the take out orders going out while we were there. They know what they are doing for sure!... More

You can't stop eating the juicy meats and the fresh salads I this homey atmosphere. The acoustic isn't great, you can hear everyone's convos and the male staff there isn't too smiley. But the food is so good! :)

The food here is pretty good. The kababs were delicious. The yoghurt with olive oil was fresh and really tasty. Beware they serve a lot of food. We ordered food for 2 people but easily 4 adults could have eaten to their fill and have some left over.

We always like Middle Eastern food. The food is great and offers so many choices--- buffet for a reasonable price to treat your guests. Weekend only do they offer the perfectly grilled lamb. There is a generous supply of seafood like calamari, shrimps, mussels and fish. There is also Italian pizzas and pastas. The braised lamb shanks are very good.... More

The restaurant has been in business for what seems like forever. They stick to what they know and they do it well!! Hummos, Tabbouleh, Maza Platter are all so fresh and tasty. For lunch, the Falafel or Chicken or Lamb sandwiches are to die for. Groups can easily share meals and the food is cooked perfectly. Dinner entrees like the... More

Our group of 7 was seated in a cozy corner at a round table. While a touch small, it was nice to be in a secluded spot. Everyone in our group had something different, and every dish was very good. The lentil soup was delicious, especially with a drop or two of fresh lemon. The lamb skewers, lamb chops, and... More

Staying in York-Crosstown

Neighborhood Profile
York-Crosstown
York-Crosstown is a sleepy area of Toronto dotted gorgeously with hills and farmland, stately homes and parks. An affluent district in parts, the stately houses at Baby Point along Jane Street are especially breathtaking, and make for a lovely wander on a clear day. Parks are bountiful in York-Crosstown, which makes it a vibrant area for outdoor play and sports, providing a break from the hustle of Toronto's busy, jam-packed city center. For a little spice after a walk in the park, the Little Jamaica area of York sports cheap, authentic food from the Caribbean. This area is restful and more orientated towards outdoor activity and the exploration of nature.
