The real thing

Old school French cuisine done impeccably. Very gracious staff. My husband loved the escargots and I the omelette Bonne Femme. Wish I'd saved room for dessert! Not overpriced either

I had the distinct pleasure of trying out this Bistro during January. We just walked in off the street and were fortunate to get a table. the restaurant is owned and run by a couple with Jacques the chef in the kitchen. You are given a superb welcome in French and taken to your table by a very attentive waiter.... More

A good friend introduced me to Jacques Bistro du Parc fifteen years ago, and it's since become my "go to" place for a simply perfect lunch or dinner. Over the years, I've enjoyed many of the quality omelettes (the chaser is one of my faves), several of the other entrées, and all of the desserts. I've never been disappointed. When... More

My friend and I had reservations for 12:30, we arrived early, no problem. Our coats were taken and we were shown to a lovely table overlooking the lovely park across the street. The tables are quite close together, but this is not a deterrent in the least. The service was excellent but unobtrusive. We both had French Onion Soup, the... More

This is an oasis of country French cooking. I have rarely felt as much at home in a restaurant as I felt here and this was my first trip to the restaurant. The French Onion soup was the best I have ever enjoyed, the entrée was a veal and fresh mushroom delight, and the dessert, a beautifully comported fresh organic... More

This is a quaint little French restaurant that has very good food. It was not as good as the last time I was there a year ago. French onion soup was very good and the rack of lamb was pretty good.

Group of 4 had a terrific meal and the best service. It was very busy and continued to stay busy through the evening but it did not interrupt or slow down the service or meals. We always end of having great food here. The one time we didn't was a wilted salad at a lunch time (which was not a... More

My husband and I went to Jacques Bistro Du Parc last night with another couple and it was one of the best restaurant experiences we've had. Our friends dine out quite a bit and agreed. We were welcomed so warmly and the service throughout the meal was fantastic. Jacques (the chef and owner) and his wife Martine (co-owner and server)... More

Jacques has a long standing reputation, yes. Does it need to brush up it's efforts? Indeed it does. Our party was seated shortly after arrival. Madame the hostess took our orders by memory. Either Madame was over pressed or communications were inept, but my salad never appeared and another guest in our party was served salmon in error of the... More

The french onion soup was good, and so was desert. The lamb i was promised is one of the best dishes, was completely bland. As for service/management, we were asked several times to hurry and order our main meal as the chef will need to know what he should start cooking, as he was getting antsy. Im sorry but i... More
