Fabulousastic French food with amazing service in cozy homy environment

Just got back from the restaurant. The food is amazingly fantastic delicious, especially , lamb cutlett- crisp outside tender inside perfectly cooked. Services are amazing like having food with good mates in their house. Absolutely nothing to complain.

Food was incredible, lamb and scallops were so delicious! The service was absolutely wonderful, very warm and welcoming. Such a lovely family business with a long history. You MUST try it! We will be back.

We read previous TripAdvisor reviews and were keen to try this bistro. Absolutely exceeded our expectations. Yes it's upstairs but this is by no means a problem for us. Having taken a chance we walked and we're greated by a friendly waiter and seated. It's a perfect size restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Staff were very attentive to us and... More

Service was excellent, and prices were good for the area and food quality. It was nice not to be rushed even though the restaurant was fully booked. Not pretentious, just good food in comfortable surrounds, ideal for couples and friends

We had lunch here a few years ago when we last came to Toronto. Very glad we returned for dinner. Regarding the food and service, it is truly outstanding, Spouse had their Onion Soup ("best I ever had") and we both had the special filet mignon which was as good or better than upscale steakhouses. The upstairs restaurant is somewhat... More

I have not been in Yorkville for over 10 years and this Bistro has been there for over 30 years. I was downtown on business and looking for a place for lunch! The Bistro is very small and when it is full it is full. It is also on the second floor. The server was very friendly and tried to... More

It is very pleasant place for a nice dinner. It is nice french restaurant. Food is good, vine was excellent, the choice that the owner made for us is great. I go to France every year, and I always try to find a good french restaurant in the city. This is probably the closest I got to meals I tasted... More

We went on a Wednesday night (without a reservation), and were fortunate to get a table in this very popular restaurant. The food is exquisite. I had a light salad of endives, and followed it with a ris de veau (sweetbread) that I've only seen equalled in very good Parisian restaurants. The sauces on both dishes were so tasty that... More

My wife and I ate here two weeks ago, when we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in Toronto. Wonderful, wonderful French bistro, eat whatever you like, everything we had was great. Fantastic staff and ownership. Price is right, including moderately priced French table wine. Tell Madame Martine I said hello! Delightful, go there, you will enjoy!

I had dinner here last week and loved it. The French onion soup was superb -- one of the top 10 I've ever had (including at many places in France). I had pork medallions as a main course and they were delicious. The service was very good. They have a decent wine list including some good selections by the glass.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
