A reliable and friendly neighborhood bistro. Its been here for 38 years I'm told. The french cuisine is good. I had the steak and it can hold its own with the best of them. It really was delicious. The starter salad was "just ok" but the steak made up for any shortcomings with the salad. Its a tiny restaurant and... More

I started going to this restaurant with my mother when I was sixteen and some 40 years later, I am still going with my daughter .If you are looking for consistently good food , prepared with care and good service , then this is the place.Even my daughter, the picky eater, is a fan .I have gone here for lunches... This was our second visit to Jacques Bistro du Parc, located in must-see Yorkville. The second floor location means you have to know where to find it, but once you do, what a treat! (Be sure to phone for a reservation!) This restaurant packs many tables into a small space but the staff move around effortlessly and their attention to... More

Went for dinner and realy enjoyed the place. Food was very good. I ate the smoked trout for a starter and the sweetbreads as a main course, accompanied by a glass of Merlot. It's a family run place and everybody are friendly and attentive.

I decided to eat here while on holiday in Toronto. It is a quaint restaurant with a warm atmosphere. The service was great, as was the food. I had the scallops, escargot and meringue dessert. It was fabulous! The baguette rivaled those I enjoyed in France. I will definitely go back.

....what more could you ask for ? As we are from out of town and on the recommendation of our eye doctor we dined here for lunch. Excellent choices for soup - french onion and pureed asparagus. We chose the omelettes for our entree. Their daily specials also highlight other choices for example, rainbow trout. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch... More

I was in from out of town on business. The restaurant was very quaint and had an inviting atmosphere. Looking over the menu it was apparent there were many options that looked appealing. I opted for the well known french onion soup, it certainly didn't disappoint. It was so filling and hearty that I could understand why it has a... More

This is a restaurant run for over 30 years by a Family from France. The service is great and the food better. Try the Onion Soup and the Mussels!

My girlfriend and I were dressed very casually for a walk through the Yorkville area when we decided to check out this French restaurant a friend had recommended. We were a little self-conscious about how casually we were dressed (hoodie, jeans, running shoes...) -- this was, after all, a French restaurant in Yorkville that we heard had good food and ambiance.... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
