Good place

This place always seems alive. Staff is very nice. Place is busy, but food and drinks come out within a reasonable time.

Very suprised by the quality of food served, and the high qualitiy of service recieved during my visit The roblet and chicken wing appetizer was cooked to perfection and was served piping hot as food should be. the Brie burger was delicious as well and again cooks as ordered and served hot.. No complaints here for some quick food and... More

We like Jack Astor's, and will often stop at one in whatever city we are visiting. We were surprised how busy they were at 3 pm on a Saturday; nevertheless, the service from Kelsey was fast and efficient. She forgot our lemon for our water on her first visit but did bring it when reminded. Our chicken BLT poutine was... More

We recently visited Jack Astor's for a bite to eat, a few beers and to shoot the breeze. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we managed to get a table right away. Our server immediately came over and introduced herself and took our drink orders. After serving our drinks, she took our food order and we ordered the deluxe... More

I've been to various Jack Astor's locations, and overall my experiences have not been too bad. Although, on one trip to Toronto I made with a couple of friends, we had an awful experience at one of their locations. After receiving our food and drinks, we did not see our waitress come to our table again. Instead, we saw her... More

Love the food here and the service is good with the prices being average. We had to wait a while because of a mix up on our order and the owner brought out free deserts for us to make it up to us.

It's a bar, what should we expect? Server was nice. Dark rooms, loud music. Hey it's a bar. Girls wore short skirts and pushed their bras out. I wouldn't bring my family here, but is watch a game here with a friend.

The music was so loud, I could not hear my friend. We were yelling at each other and even though we asked the waitress to turn it down or turn the speaker near us off, they ignored us. The service was poor and the food mediocre at best. When we completed the customer service survey, we received a nasty email... More

We have returned after the first time, and enjoyed it again. Prompt service, a pleasant patio on a warm day. Fun to sit on the high stools at the long tables in the centre of the patio. The food was surprisingly good - fresh plentiful salads, yummy quesadillas, good chicken dishes. Nothing very imaginative, but good solid choices for lunch.... More

Had lunch there with my wife. It's a good atmosphere -- not too busy that day -- and the waiting staff are all friendly enough. She liked her soup & salad combo, and I liked my spaghetti & meatball dish. But the total was nearly $40! That's a bit steep, to say the least. Also our waitress came to our... More
