We dined at this restaurant as part of a theatre package. The Prix-fix menu offered many options for our 3-course meal. We had seen a matinee show & chose to dine at 7:30pm just as other theatre goers were preparing to leave to see their shows. It cleared out quickly. We enjoyed one of the most... read more

Chicken pasta were actually full chicken so that was good! But needed more spinach and mushroom (also supposed to be main parts of the dish). I found the beet and goat cheese salad a little bit boring. The meatballs were good but I was surprise that there were hot... Not what you expect because was not specify on the menu.

Visited here for an impromptu dinner with work colleagues. Empty when arrived, which may have been a bad sign but was easy to get seated. Ordered garlic bread and meat/cheese platter for starter which was very tasty. Several ordered pizzas for main which all looked great. I had stuffed chicken with vegetables and garlic mash, which was really just ok.... More

Our waiter was very efficient and friendly. Great selection of wines. Amazing garlic/cheese bread. Caesar salad had little taste and the Carbonara was just OK- nothing special.

We decided to eat next to the theatre as we wanted to be on time. This place is almost next door where Kinky Boots was playing. We started with Prosecco as a birthday treat. We ordered the antipasto to share.Normally I wouldn't comment on the bread but it was exceptional.I had the chicken with asiago cheese ,it was excellent. The lamb shank was very... We had two Caesar salads and four glasses of wine and it came to $80 . Once we saw the prices on the menu we were a little taken a back . We ordered the cheapest thing as we did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a pre show meal . I guess it works for some people... More

Perfect location across from Roy Thompson Hall and right in the theatre district. Make a reservation, since it gets really busy. Despite the full house, our waiter was friendly and attentive, service just the right tempo, and the food delicious. Despite being a chain restaurant, it never feels like one. Don't expect tired spaghetti or "the usual" Italian selections of... More

Pasta and pizza is excellent. Had the Carbonara. Devine. Liked the table cloth service. Great choice pre theatre. Steps away. Service did seem a little inattentive although not bad not great. A little more personalized would have topped things off. Some tables a little close. Would def go again

Near the theatre, the dinner was good, service very good. The pasta was tasty and plentiful. We were seated in the private dining room at the back which was not very private. The tables are very close together, so much so that other patrons could join in on your conversation. Enjoyed the food very much.

My wife and I ate hear last week. Margarita pizza, meatball starter, Caesar salad, great breads, wine. Perfect. Service was great, they asked if we were going to the theater in which case they fast track your meal, if not they slow it down to the pace you want. So good we're heading there for lunch today before we go... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
