We tried this restaurant on a recent trip to Bayview Village Centre. It appeared busy and in fact, we had to wait for a table. Service was good...very attentive waiter, but some of our choices were not up to the standard expected. We had one great Pizza, and another very underdone....in fact, the eggplant was too moist so the pizza... More

My boyfriend and I were on our way to another restaurant at Bayview Village when we saw that Il Fornello was opened again and decided to try the newly renovated restaurant. The hostesses were inattentive (actually they didn't even notice we were there). After the manager seated us, we ordered the Fritti Misti appetizer, a thin crust pizza, and ravioli.... More

First let me say Il Fornello is my go-to place when the wife and I are craving Italian food and a night out. Everything from the ambiance to the wine to the food is a perfect 10. To those with Celiac or Gluten Sensitivity I am happy to say that Il Fornello can substitute almost everything on the menu to... More

Good place to have a thin crust vegetarian pizza. Preparations were fresh and and service was good. Good place to try out Italian food.

I went with my wife, daughter, and mother and we enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. Sunday brunch buffet was available and people seemed to enjoy it. We ordered from the menu, and were very satisfied with all of our choices. Bruschetta with cheese was great. A plate with goat cheese and smoked salmon had way more than... More

Stopped in here for dinner after a business meeting. It was early, maybe 5 pm so it was not busy. The service was outstanding. We had the antipasto of procuitto and cheese. It was ok, nothing great. Next up was the caesar salad. Again, just ok. One of us had the veal marsala. It was average. The other one had... More

Despite the fact that it’s across the street from us, we had not ventured to Il Fornello in a long time. Until last night! Why? Well Tuesday nights Il Fornello does $10.00 pizzas and $12.00 pastas. It’s a great deal for a normally fairly expensive Italian eatery. Conclusion for the above? Let’s just say they are “inches” away from being... More

For years we have been enjoying Il Fornello's delicious "Pizza" choices and Pasta dishes all over the city but most of the time when it was at Queen's Quay, overlooking the Lake Ontario, being close to us. With its closure at this location, a while ago, we are continuing to this Restaurant in the Bayview Village where it is very... More

Came here on a Saturday evening. Tried to ring earlier in the day to make a booking but was told that the restaurant would not accept reservation. Patrons would be sat down on a first come first serve basis. They would not even allow a "phone ahead" as I tried to ring them again as I was leaving for the... More

I took my mom here for dinner tonight. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese and she the linguini di mare (mussels, sea scallops, calamari). We were promptly seated by the friendly hostess and our waiter was very friendly when he approached us. The food arrived within a reasonable time. My mom loved her dish - she said that the seafood was... More
