Not a Kiwi pub

They do not even play All Black games!!? Unsure why they can't pay the extra $30 a month to get the correct channel but really disappointing. No Kiwi beers on the menu, one or two kiwi meals and the food they do have is so over priced and rubbish. Astronomical price for sad looking poutine. Bad... read more

So finally I write a review on Hemingways. This has probably been the 20th visit to this great yorkville pub. I felt it due to share some thoughts of what is good about this place and why so many return. Food is well priced, decent portions, always served hot (funny note I know, but can be a challenge for restaurants... More

This Yorkville staple has good beer options, and prices are decent (under $20 for most dishes). It is not unusual to bump into celebrities at this joint. I recommend you make a reservation if coming with a large group. In fact, I came here with a friend after work and had to wait 20 minutes for a table! The patio... More

Hemingway's, on this cold December day, was fine. It was a decent pub menu...I had a turkey burger with salad, my lunch companions had a club sandwich. The atmosphere was comfortable, a bit dark inside. Service was pleasant, but on the slow side and seemed to have difficulty coping with the volume. I asked myself what was really special about... Hemingway's has been a great tradition for many years. This year we attended the Massey Lectures over at Koerner Hal (Royal Conservatory of Music) and we had a great meal. Great beers and meals, upstairs, friendly informative service and everything was enjoyable. The younger gen (22-24) even enjoyed the whole experience. Always a treat.

I didn't give five stars because it wasn't perfect but we loved it. The service was efficient and the food was really good. We sat outside with one side feeling cold and the other roasted by the heaters. I'm not complaining - that's just how it was. We will definitely go back.

Great restaurant in Yorkville, right in the hear of Toronto. Three levels, with the top level an open air restaurant. It is covered by a large tarp roof which allows it to operate year round (with heaters). We were there with a group of friends during a freak thunder/lightening storm. This was so intense that the rain came through and... More

Love the atmosphere, the patio, the drinks selection and the food was really good too. If you are looking for a good time, this place can be it. The patio is heated so it can be enjoyed not only in the summer time which is a bonus in Toronto :)

We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and relaxed pace. The food was reasonably priced and the menu satisfied the needs of our party. It was a great place to sit and talk with family we hadn't seen in a while without feeling rushed.

Chicken fingers and fries are best in Toronto and the prices are great at this friendly civilized pub!
