Okay, I may be being slightly harsh, but I wouldn't have been had this place hit on some of the basics. To cut to the chase, the ginger dressing is not good, the miso is bland, they skimp on the pickled ginger and the sushi floats on boats. Floating sushi is really not their issue, but gimmicks are only acceptable... More

Firstly, the food there is very good, with the size of sushi is just about right, but the price is slightly higher than what I thought. The atmosphere is great there as a posh Japanese restaurant, it's relatively quiet, and the sushi boats make this restaurant really unique and stylish, the first time I have ever seen it!! But due... Fune has a very appealing decor. When you walk in there is no doubt you are in a sushi bar...boats and all floating around in their moats with morsels of sushi and sashimi to pounce on. I agree with one user's comments about the "English-challenged" staff. I felt a little confused walking into the place and after we sat at... More

You're in for a one of a kind experience at this restaurant. You can choose to sit in the dining rooms, but sitting at the sushi bar is far more rewarding. The sushi bar consists of sushi chefs in the middle of a moat of sushi boats that rotate around them. You sit on the outside of the circle and... More

Nothing to wow about this restaurant. Service was alright and the food is below average and limited sake list. if you are looking for Mc D standard of sushi ..ya this is the place but the price is over for that kind of quality.

Fine for a quick and average sushi bite. Conveyor belt style so quick in and out possible. Decent size chunks of sashimi but somehow a bit lacking in taste. Pricing average, service nth to remark on either way.

Had lunch there - they are specialised in sushi, and have a floating sushi bar with little boats, where they place the sushi plates in different colours, you pay different prizes according to what you have consumed. Particularly love their sushi pizza / and ate two salmon sushi pizzas for lunch, in addition to the other traditional sushi plates. Good... More

I was never a big sushi and sashimi fan until I tried some of the masterful pieces at Fune. Absolutely love the selections on the combo platters and on the river. I visit at least once a month, which isn't great for the wallet, but certainly does satisfy the cravings. Service isn't that great, more like a typical Chinese restaurant,... More

So, first impression of the restaurant is not good because the street outside smells like raw sewage. There seemed to be sushi on a revolving conveyer belt that continued to be there when there were no patrons at the bar. Our food tasted fine, but could not get that old revolving sushi out of my mind.

Just finished an excellent dinner with my wife and our two children under 14. Personally do not like the bar seats at the revolving food conveyor so we sat at table. Great friendly and efficient service. Best agadashi dofu. A1 Tonkatsu! Very good simple sticky rice. Gorgeous soft shell crab. Sushi as good as anywhere. Altogether terrific. And that review... More
