Very good sushi

I went here with a colleague and it didn't disappoint. They have a sushi conveyor at the bar so you can sample different dishes or you can just dine at a normal table. The nigiri selections delicious and by far the best was the eel. The toro was also good but I would go back just for the eel... read more

It is a good restaurant, offering a good varieties of Japanese cuisine, ranging from sushi, nigri, sashimi and hot soup noodle. I tried Bincho sashimi and soba (buckwheat noodle) soup. The sashimi was very fresh and good but the soba soup was disappointed with the soba soup. Given the price, it is a bit stingy on the amount of noodle... More

Had lunch here with a coworker. Sat at the bar so we could pick up and sample different things that I don't usually order. Food is very good especially the unagi. The only disappointment was that my friend asked for some hot sauce and they told her they would charged $1 for it! Our bill was almost $150 and they... More

Our night started out with a disappointing experience elsewhere. Fortunately we left and stumbled upon Fune. We had a great night. The portions of the mail meal were huge, so much so that we took half home. The sushi was great, fresh and delicious. The service was also amazing. Couldn't believe it. I'd love to go back.

We have been several times for lunch and for dinner and every time is a consistent experience. The food is outstanding - fresh, great variety, just plain delicious! The atmosphere is great too - you can sit at the sushi bar with the boats going around or can sit at a more intimate table if you prefer. The service is... More

We had a lovely meal here, very good sushi and service. Floating boats travel in big oval for fun experience. Greeted nicely at door, took coats, pleasant. Nice modern atmosphere. Tuna, regular and spicy were best. Salmon good, so was eel and eel roll. Enjoyable! Would return.

This was just right for our party of 4. The food is above average, and the service pleasant. The udon dishes at the end of the menu were so flavouful, and a good way to fill up. It was easy to put together a shareable meal with the appetisers and a couple of udon bowls. It was also quiet enough... More

We always sit at the sushi bar and get it straight from the sushi chefs. We like to come here before hitting a play on King St. You can choose to sit at a table and order many of the other items they have to offer, personally I just come for the super fresh sushi.

Service a little clumsy however the sashimi was amazing and so too the sirloin hibachi. This restaurant has 2 sections the ala carte and the self service sushi train section.

I prefer to sit at the counter and watch the choices go by. Everything is fresh - nothing stays on the boats for long - you can ask one of the chefs for special orders on the spot (ikura, toro, unagi are our favourites). Service is quick, efficient and attentive. A great place for good sushi / sashimi and more.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
