I've been coming to Fresh on Queen West for years, I'm not vegan or even vegetarian but it's always been a refreshing alternative for me. Here's the problem: the sizes of the drinks especially those touted to be 16 oz are JUST NO WAY THE SIZE THEY SAY THEY ARE. I've just started dealing with a paper cup supplier and... More

My vegan daughter dragged me into this popular Queen St West eatery. Let me set the scene: alt looking servers, tats eight ways to sunday, hipsters everywhere, health minded families including a large East Indian multi generational family, couples on dates, girls out for fun and a dog snugged up on the outside of the barrier to the patio. I... More

This location of the chain is less noisy and not as crowded as their other locations. The food is consistently fresh, and totally vegetarian. I find the prices are very reasonable. And the service is always great. It's my default restaurant.

I ordered BUDDHA and I found a strand of hair on my rice. And the veggies that comes with it looks disgusting. I don't know if they washed it or what, it smells weird. I passed by their kitchen and I saw the cooks were not wearing gloves, I assumed their hands were dirty. Their kitchen looks dirty and very... More

I have been to all of the Fresh locations a number of times but most recently, the one on Eglinton. The food is just SOOO good! If I could eat here every day, I definitely would. There are tons of gluten-free options and there's a dedicated menu if you ask for it or just pull it up on your phone.... More

I took my daughter, a vegan, to this restaurant on the weekend for lunch. Not being a vegan, I was quite apprehensive, as I do love my meat. However, I must say I was very pleasantly surprised and I enjoyed my meal immensely. I had the bbq burger, which I believe was quinoa, which also had onion rings, bbq sauce,... More

I have been to the fresh location on eglinton several times, and I have never been disappointed. There is a wide selection of good food and I have tried several of the bowls, soups, burgers and wraps. All of the meals I have had were delicious and I am always excited to try something new when I go. It is... More

I've been waiting for a chance to go to Fresh and I was not disappointed, going with a group after a morning at body blitz on a snowy day. We shared the quinoa onion rings (divine) and sweet potato fries with the chipolte dip... The fries were ok, a tad dry but well seasoned. I had the Tangled Thai salad... More

I have been to Fresh restaurants, including the Eglinton location, many times. Previous times I have been at this restaurant were fine, but the last time we were at Fresh, we got very seriously ill. I missed a day of work, and have had constant nausea for days. There is some quality control problem with this restaurant. If you see... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
