Good Indian food

If you are looking for all you can eat buffet for $12.95 this is a good place. The only complaint I would have is the cleanliness aroung their buffet station.

What a great Father's Day lunch. Service was excellent, very attentive and extremely accommodating. The buffet choices where truly amazing and ever so fresh. Can't say enough about the place. Everybody had a great time and left will full, very satisfying tummies.

I was looking for a quick lunch after checking in to the Hyatt across the road. It is upstairs and advertises a lunch buffet on the street. The selection and flavour were both excellent. There was a large salad bar (which I didn't try) and a wide variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. I especially enjoyed the Chana masala,... More

Had dinner here with a business colleague - both vegetarians and looking for a good dinner. We were not disappointed. We had Saag Panneer and a wonderful chickpea dish, plain rice and killer garlic nan. Topped off by a nice bottle of Sauvignon blanc. Attentive service. Reasonable prices. All made for a great night.

Part of me wants to give this restaurant 4 stars and part wants to give them a one star rating. The atmosphere was nice. The service was slow even though the restaurant was mostly empty. We both enjoyed the large Dhaba Platter appetizer. It is larger than an entree. The items were all served together on the platter. Many of... More

This meal started with warm tasty, perfectly spiced papadum. The samosas were nicely matched with curried chick peas and a spicy sauce that was not too hot. Our waiter suggested the Madras Josh Curry as the meat dish to go with our vegetable dishes and he was right on the mark. We spent nearly 2.5 hours enjoying our family meal... More

My lovely bride and I picked this place based on a comprehensive menu and proximity to Roy Thomson Hall. We arrived at 6:30 and were able to comfortably get to RTH in just enough time. The service was very good. Friendly and efficient. But subdued which is perfect. We essentially split a meal of standards like samosa, butter chicken and... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
