Excellent City View!

The view of the city was spectacular. My girlfriend enjoyed her entire meal. I wish I could say the same, but I suppose nothing on the menu had intrigued me from winterlicious and numerous times I contemplated on trying something from their regular menu. My favourite restaurant in Toronto....we go for lunch in winter and dinner in summer. Like to sit at the pass and watch the action while enjoying the view. Chef remembered us and chatted with us .....really enjoyed the whole experience. Perfect pairings with perfect food. Tried a new thing - spun pork - just delicious. Creative, interesting and delicious menu.

Eaten here a few times now, and each time the staff is caring and knowledgeable and work hard to make your experience comfortable. The wine pairings in particular -- thanks to the unbelievable Sommelier, Ashlyn -- blend perfectly with the ordered dishes. The rabbit lasagna as a starter was particularly amazing; the venison as an entree is absolutely superb. You'll... More

I had the Arctic char and it was quite good, the Lamb my wife had was even better - wish I had ordered the lamb :-) Tuna appetizer was very good as well. The Peanut butter mousse dessert was not bad. Staffs were nice and service was quite good as well. We have had both the winterlicious & summerlicious dinners... More

My husband and I stopped in for lunch at Canoe and what a treat it was! Excellent service and food would bring me back for another a visit. I wouldn't expect anything less from Bonacini.

I went here for Winterlicious since I had heard so many good things about Canoe. Maybe because it was a Winterlicious promotion, the food wasn't so good but I would expect if they are going to do a promotion to still provide a yummy dining experience. The service at Canoe was excellent and the food was good, it just wasn't... More

Lunch and dessert were very good but pricey. Excellent view. This is the kind of place where portions are miniscule and require a legend to explain all ingredients, and how they work together - provided by your server. Too posh for me. I'll leave it to all the Bay St executives to provide their patronage...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
