Summerlicious Power Lunch

Delightful Summerlicious meal this past Friday and was warmly received despite the crush of Bay Street regulars. Enjoyed a delicious terrine and a delightful Valrhona chocolate dessert. A great panoramic restaurant with local Canadian cuisine and wines.very knowledgable staff. We did a chef tasting and wine pairing menu and weren't disappointed. Views are to die for!!! Give them a carte blanche and you wont be disappointed!!!

I took my husband here for his birthday. Upon arrival, they'd prepared a glass of bubbly to celebrate. The seafood platter we ordered as a starter was delicious. Our mains were great, the dessert was exceptional and the service was over the top. It might be really expensive, but it definitely felt special. I was worried we 'd be disappointed,... More

Canoe was on my list of Restaurants during our visit to Toronto. We had limited time for Dinners so we took advantage of the Summerlicious Lunch. What a bargain at $28 for a three course lunch. The $22 wine paring (3oz) was a perfect extra. The view was fantastic as well as the service.

Sensational location and view. Summerlicious lunch. Very refreshing strawberry lemonade.. wow, lots of flavor. App of Salmon Tartare, nice larger chunks of salmon, just dressed in a little too much horseradish for my taste. Turkey schnitzel, great portion size, nice n crunchy, just a snip over seasoned, too much salt and a little dry. Choc dessert FAB, super, reminded me... More

We had our anniversary dinner at Canoe...thoroughly enjoyable with an attentive , friendly staff....we opened with their wonderful cold sea food platter ( I can't recall what they called it) washed down by prosecco and then champagne ( gratis fro the establishment) , followed by the Rockfish ( on the recommendation of our server)...the wine recommended was an excellent match.... Well, for a restaurant anyway...we do also have the CN Tower, which has spectacular views. Canoe is situated at the top of the TD Centre in Toronto. I can't quite decide if the views or the food is better! My daughter and I stopped by a few weeks ago after a day of wedding dress and Mother-of-the-Bride shopping...whew! We arrived... More

If Canadian fine dining has to set an example, this is it. The chef uses ingredients from all over the nation in unique and delicious ways in a pleasant and surprising manner. Although you can view the menus online, the descriptions given by the wait staff really give detailed insight of the preparation and what the diner can expect. I... More

To celebrate a major milestone in our work friendship, I took 2 colleagues out to Canoe for lunch. The great service and food was a perfect pairing to the fantastic view. We found the entire staff genuinely service-oriented and attentive. Two of us ordered steak frites and they were cooked as each requested. One ordered the rabbit (doesn't seem to... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
