Great variety and quiet location

Being on Baldwin Street, Cafe La Gaffe is a quiet little place on a shaded side street. The menu has enough variety, and the quality is really nice. I requested the pizza to be extra thin (Italian style), and they certainly met my expectations. Good veggie options as well!

This cozy spot on Baldwin is the perfect spot for a quiet al fresco dinner in the heart of Toronto. The setting is pleasant and the food delicious.

Larger inside than it looks. Pleasant service, but a bit sparse. Food is quite good for the price, so that's a plus. Back patio is very rustic- depends on what you like. I would go back here.

I have been here many times, consistently good food and service. A small patio in front and a larger one in the back. Perhaps a shade pricey but always enjoyable.

We visited for summerlicious and were very disappointed. The salad with goat cheese was the best part of the 3 course meal. The red wine had gone bad and was served warm. I ordered the steak and it was bland and overcooked so I had to send it back and the waiter offered me another meal so I ordered the... More

My friend and I were looking forward to Summerlicious lunch last Saturday. However, to our surprise, they don't participate in Summerlicious on the weekends. Very disappointed as she mentioned it was for Summerlicious on her reservation and no one bothered to reply to her. So, after looking at their brunch menu, we decided to go somewhere else down the street... More

Baldwin Street has somehow retained its somewhat funky ambience and Café La Gaffe is one of its mainstays. Never a disappointment whether ordering the huge and delicious omelette or any other dish. The soups are tasty and salads luscious and full of flavour. The patio is a nice option as the front terrace puts everyone eating there in pretty tight... More

Our first time at this restaurant....a lovely surprise. Looking from the outside, except for a small patio out front, the building looks a bit in need of repair. I noticed an eclectic clientele, both working people and students. Although I love patios, and the street is not full of car fumes like many street patios, it was a little chilly... More

Met a friend for Sunday brunch. I arrived early and was greeted immediately by the server. She made me feel very welcomed. My friend was a little late but never once was I rushed to order. The restaurant is small, but what they lack in space, they more than make up for in quality of food and service. I had... More
