Family owned Italian/Continental fusion restaurant. We have been a staple in the Yonge and Wellesley community for the past 13 years. Just recently we underwent a major renovation courtesy of the TV show Restaurant Takover on the Food Network. Ambiance is elegant and classy without being pretentious or stuck up. Our exceptionally-trained staff provide our guests with fast and efficient service while ensuring they feel relaxed and comfortable, never rushed. But most importantly, they make sure our guests feel welcome in our home.

The best part about this restaurant is the patio! The service was OK but the food very bland and quite overpriced. Everything needed salt and the calamari was very greasy. It was clearly pre-made food that is thrown together at the last minute. Quite disappointed.

Julian and his staff excel in customer service. Main reason I will return to Toronto is the over the top quality of service I received 8/2015. Thanks for the wonderful care.

Cajun prawns were excellent and the lobster roll. Too busy to sit outside. Great service and we would go back. Recommended by my friend. Thanks Jean.

Nice restaurant with well prepared food; prices are reasonable for Toronto. Service was slow and somewhat terse, especially given the restaurant was empty

Even though it was too wet to sit outside, the window seat allowed us to watch the world go by on Yonge street. Bottle of house white wine for c$15, that's European prices, and good quality. The mains were good and finally a restaurant in Toronto that serves gateaux. First class place.

My gf and I were wondering around Yonge St trying to find a place to have a bite & a drink. We found a beautiful patio on the corner of Yonge & Gloucester, it was Brownstone. We had a great time the food was great, drinks were delicious! Come check it out!

We were looking for an informal restaurant when we found this bistro. Great variety of food and drinks and the service was great. We were not rushed through and were able to really enjoy our meal.

Me and my friends went there for a dinner recently. Unusual wall decor immediately catches the eye and overall the place seems nice and comfortable. Most importantly, food was amazing! I enjoyed my salmon and my friends ordered top sirloin and roasted portobello. Service was nice too. Since it was a bit cold the night we were there, we couldn't... More

I attended the Brownstone with my friend who was visiting from out of town. The service was very personable and friendly. We immediately felt welcomed. The food was incredible. She got the stuffed chicken and I had the steak. Absolutely delicious!

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
