Description: Family owned Italian/Continental fusion restaurant. We have been a staple in the Yonge and Wellesley community for the past 13 years. Just recently we underwent a major renovation courtesy of the TV show Restaurant Takover on the Food Network. Ambiance is elegant and classy without being pretentious or stuck up. Our exceptionally-trained staff provide our guests with fast and efficient service while ensuring they feel relaxed and comfortable, never rushed. But most importantly, they make sure our guests feel welcome in our home.

Recently hit the patio at the Brownstone Bistro when friends were visiting Toronto from Ottawa. We all loved it! It was a nice day, so we sat on the patio on Gloucester Street. The staff were attentive without being in your face all the time. Also very efficient and friendly. The food was first rate. A beet and goat cheese... More

Well just back home again after a great Ontario visit with family and friends. Once again a highlight of our trip was a visit to the Brownstone and a great night at the Panonsonic theatre close by,what a great combination for good night out. Brownstone never disapoints us with there food and fast and efficient service. We both enjoyed a... More

I have been a frequent regular to this quaint little bistro for years and it only seems to get better. Service is always fantastic and management is always very personable. The food is so reasonably priced considering the fantastic quality of the dishes. I recommend trying everything from their delicious brunch to their weekly steak nights. With the good weather... Went to the Brownstone Bistro on Yonge last night, before seeing a play at the Panasonic Theatre. The atmosphere was nice, and the menu was appealing, but that is where the compliments end. Our table ordered two caesar salads (both had a lot of brown lettuce – more than an acceptable amount) and a beet salad (looked great till they... More

I ate here twice before and wrote a prior review for a special they had a few years ago that was a Veal Chop that was GREAT, I started with a cocktail and ordered the "Frutti Di Mare Linguini" (which includes the catch of the day, mussels, calamari, tiger shrimp and spinach in a white wine tomato sauce. I catch... More

Stumbled upon the Brownstone while looking for another restaurant. Glad I did. The atmosphere is charming, the menu unpretentious, the staff friendly. Prices are inline - 2 courses with a glass of wine for $35. The menu isn't ambitious, but there's something for everyone, from pasta, to burgers, steaks, chicken, several salad options, and wines by the glass, 1/2L, and... More

If only the servers weren't so surly, rude, and clearly unhappy…. this place would be a gem. I don't know what the problem is (terrible management = miserable employees????)

Went there for brunch on Sunday before the matinee production of Arabal (that was excellent btw). Wish I had been paying attention to my subscription series discount, but oh well, will remember for next time. The food was excellent, I had the California melt & it was so good I didn't want it to end!!! The mango salsa was fabulous!... More

a good local spot for brunch. good Benedicts and omelettes that come with a fair size green salad and fruit. very good coffees too. but if you are in a hurry, as others have noted on here, you may want to go elsewhere. the chicken quesadilla was very tasty and quite substantial.a good place for a leisurely brunch while watching... I had tickets for the Mirvish production of Arrabal. (It was fantastic, by the way!). As a subscriber to the Mirvish subscription series, I was sent a card to present for discounts at various restaurants near all of the Mirvish theatres. Last night's show as at the Panasonic Theatre and Brownstone Bistro was listed as a sponsor restaurant. They offered... More
