Family owned Italian/Continental fusion restaurant. We have been a staple in the Yonge and Wellesley community for the past 13 years. Just recently we underwent a major renovation courtesy of the TV show Restaurant Takover on the Food Network. Ambiance is elegant and classy without being pretentious or stuck up. Our exceptionally-trained staff provide our guests with fast and efficient service while ensuring they feel relaxed and comfortable, never rushed. But most importantly, they make sure our guests feel welcome in our home.

Busy Night But Good Service

This was my second visit to the Brownstone Bistro. My mother and I went in before a show at the Panasonic Theatre. It's nicely within walking distance so it's a good choice. When we arrived it was very busy and there weren't any tables available. We were invited to sit at the bar while we... read more

Nice atmosphere is the only complimentary comment I can say about this restaurant. Our waiter couldn't remember a thing, it should be mandatory to write all orders down. The grilled calamari was rubber, the burger dry and tasteless even after we had to send it back because it was missing all of the garnishes. Way better affordable restaurants in the... More

I told a restaurateur once that if you are going to offer steak, make it a good one and charge a decent price. Let me start by saying the atmosphere and décor are very attractive. Good Friday offers it's own challenges with staffing, but this is their regular "Steak Night" special. Clearly the steak had been sitting a long time... More

When we are in Toronto, It's a classic to go there. This time we try appetizer (Coat Cheese and Bruschetta) it was amazing, very delectable. We were there on Saturday March 28, and they close the light for 1 hour.(Jour de la terre). We took the steak and it was very good. I can't wait to return again

Such a pretty place! Too bad it smelt like old beer and there were chunks of food out our dishes and in our water. Perhaps it's time for as much attention to detail of the decor as there is to the cleanliness of the dishes *barf*

We usually walk south toward downtown from our hotel on Yonge and Carleton looking for a casual, sit down restaurant. This day we decided to walk north. For a while, this did not seem like a good idea. Lots of places to eat but almost all counter service, fast ethnic food; Mexican, Shwarma, Indian, all good but not what we... More

Average food, but very close to the Panasonic Theatre. Caesar salad had a nice amount of dressing, but overly salty and many of the lettuce pieces had brown ribs. Pizza was ok, but nothing special. Good cappuccino. Service was friendly but pretty slow even though they knew we were going to the theatre. We had to wait almost 20 minutes... More

Rochelle was our server. She was loud, impatient, lacked professionalism and was not a good server in any way. Told both parties the price of their bill in front of the entire table. Food was amazing and really liked the environment. Will come back. But will request not to be served by her.

We were going to the theatre and I tried to locate a place that was good and close. They have a price fixe for the theatre which my husband absolutely loved. I had the canneloni special and it was yummy. My hubby had the chicken marsala which he loved. Because we were so early the drinks and appetizers were very... More

However that’s how we liked it: food was delicious - drinks made us fly ;-) interior was stylish atmosphere great (good live music plus DJ) Will... More
