Ristorante Boccaccio is tucked inside the Columbus Centre and has been for over 35 years. The difference now is that we're refreshed by a major renovation. Ristorante Boccaccio is a venerable place to visit for authentic Italian food. The authentic Italian menu is a reflection of+ Italian culture true to our Italian roots. The Italian wine list enhances the dining experience with an emphasis on affordable wine. We do private bookings on Sundays.

Tucked away in the basement of the prestigious Columbus Centre, this 'ristorante' offers seriously good Italian cuisine. We've been there a couple of times for lunch, and each occasion has been a treat. Pasta dishes, with side orders of salad, are reliably good. Most recently, we enjoyed the Penne al Pomodoro and the Cavatelli Bolognese: perhaps not the most exciting-sounding... More

You really wouldn't think to look for a great meal in the basement of a community centre. Even an Italian community centre, but Boccaccio will convince you otherwise. This is a bright, elegant room in the basement of the Columbus Centre on Lawrence West and it's well worth the trek. Order the tagliere di salumi while you look at the... More

We had the opportunity of dining here last week and found the food excellent. In the newly renovated premises the menu has been upgraded and modernised to reflect the ambience. The serviced was attentive and friendly. Every one of the four diners had different appetizers and first or second courses followed by some of us with dessert and espresso. The... More

No longer decorated in traditional Italian style, but an elegant dining room with a totally update decor. If you are lucky, you will find lamb shank on the menu. Five of us went for lunch and four of us (and many of the other patrons it seemed) thoroughly enjoyed the lamb shank special, served with potatoes and fresh veggies. The... More

The food in this restaurant is incredible, the chef is amazing and puts together impeccable italian dishes. You get a sense of Italian culture and community because this restaurant is within the Columbus Centre. Definitely worth a try!!

It certainly seemed like an unusual location for a restaurant, tucked into the Columbus Centre. I had purchased a Groupon and it was my husband's birthday. We had a wonderful server, Andreas, who could have been mistaken for being Italian but he was from Colombia. Very personable and good sense of humour. For our appetizer, we shared a substantial dish... More

We had no idea a little taste of Italy was waiting for us in a Community Centre at Dufferin and Lawrence. We only found out about this hidden gem after my son and future daughter-in-law looked at the wedding venue in another part of the Columbus Centre. We booked dinner reservations at the restaurant to check out the quality of... More

When I take people to this wonderful Italian restaurant, the joke is that I am inviting them to eat in an old folks' home. Then they see the restaurant, and taste the food, and get the great service, and somehow the venue is forgotten. Ristorante Boccaccio is not really in an old folks' home. It is at the bottom floor... Great from start to finish...Pasta always coked to perfection. Seafood dishes are exquisite. Meat dishes are hardy. Wine choices are plentiful. Waiters are old school but hip. You will return again and again. Oh! Just try to leave room for dessert...
