What we thought might be a stimulating night's eating was pretty ordinary by the end. We did go for the fixed price menu but there we some interesting options on it. My wife was fairly happy with her choiced , I went for a chowder and a Jambalaya. The chowder was more of a fish soup, quite runny and unchowderlike,but... More

We came here for dinner before seeing Les Miz at the Princess of Wales theatre. We really enjoyed the food here. The service was good. We would come back.

Dropped in for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was fairly quiet and we were seated right away. Unfortunately they are not able to source alligator currently so we had crab cakes and mussels for appetizers. Very good and nicely seasoned. For mains we had seafood fettuccine and the shrimp and chicken etouffee. For dessert we had creme brulee... More

I had wanted to give this place a try for a while, and finally got around to it on our recent trip to Toronto. We came for lunch, and ate inside, as it was way too hot for the patio. The restaurant was quiet, with a nice atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive, and our food came out fast.... More

Looking for a good lunch stop we happened across Big Daddy's. We saw it quite busy at night at we know why: a NOLA feel and taste. The flavors were authentic and the menu was varied. We would come back!

Oysters were GREAT! Nice atmosphere, great service. The entrees were just ok. I had ravioli, guy had a steak. Nothing to brag about but no complaints either. Was just a welcoming, unpretentious, relaxing place.

This was some of the best Cajun food I've had in my life. We were only able to be seated at the bar. It's a "garden view" (aka underground) restaurant. But what it lacks in view it makes up for in quality of food.

We have been to New Orleans more than once, so had a point of comparison. Like New Orleans itself this restaurant does not make gourmet food. But if you like Seafood and the N'Orleans flavors you will like Big Daddy. The atmosphere was laid back; while we were there the service was extremely friendly and attentive, but we were never... This place is a great watering hole and an amazing oyster bar. The staff is cheerful, upbeat and helpful. The atmosphere is best appreciated as intimate setting by romancing couples or by groups of easy going carousing groups. Located at King St W. and Simcoe Street in the heart of the entertainment district, this is a fun place to hit.

Had a lovely meal outside on the patio! I would recommend the Naughty Girl cocktail to start. The calamari was fresh and perfectly cooked and the oysters come with a selection of possible sauces. The crab cakes were delicious as was the creole style rice. One in our party ordered the Big Daddy Mixed Platter...the bacon wrapped scallops were delicious...... More
