Based on all the great reviews about this restaurant, I left a little disheartened. I was there for a retirement party I had arranged, I will say our server was nice, I had the blackened catfish, from the summerliscious menu, it was well seasoned . But the dish was nothing to really write home too much about. And my colleagues... More

Food was delicious and prepared well! Excellent taste! We ordered soup and pasta. We were seated outside and for me it's the best place to have lunch, rather than going inside. Enjoy spring weather or the summer heat here.

Food was perfectly seasoned and I recommend the Oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer. The Big Daddy Platter was a perfect portion of well seasoned seafood. Our server was pleasant and atmosphere made us want to go to New Orleans. A must if you are in Toronto.

I was in Toronto for business, staying at the InterContinental and my colleague & I decided to stroll around looking for a place for supper and stumbled across Big Daddy’s Bourbon Street Bistro and Oyster Bar. It is a subterranean restaurant but brightly decorated inside. The menu is loaded with seafood dishes and oysters of which I am not a... More

Very pleased with our meal this evening. Seafood fondue definitely enough for 2 as an appetizer. For mains, one of us had duck with a southern style sauce and the other spiced catfish with chicken and chorizo rice. Service very friendly and attentive. 65CAD per person for 2 courses, wine and cocktails and coffee which was decent value but I... More

Despite the generally positive reviews for Big Daddy's here, I was expecting someplace very ordinary - as are most of the restaurants I have visited in entertainment districts. However, I was much surprised by the quality of the food and the service. My crab cakes appetizer was very tasty with a nice piquant sauce. The ettouffe was overloaded with perfectly... More

Right in the heart of the entertainment district of Toronto, Big Daddy's is a great spot to eat before heading to Roy Thompson Hall (Right across the Street) or to theatres just along King St. W. It is a large, labyrinthine restaurant below ground serving mostly New Orleans inspired food. The menu is quite varied offering lots of choice. They... More

My wife and I found Big Daddy's in Ottawa and loved it. Unfortunately both shops closed so when we were in TO and came across this one we had to good. The quality is still there in the food and service. I'm a big fan of oysters and these guys have them en mass. Happy hour has 1/2 price apps... More

Now renamed "Big Daddy's Bourbon Street Bistro & Oyster Bar", this little gem is in the heart of King Street where all the action is! Parking is a challenge but if you happen to be downtown anyway, this is a great choice for lunch on the patio. Service (thanks, Cailey!) was excellent and the food and drinks were superb. They... We booked this restaurant because it is in the Entertainment District close to theatres. I love New Orleans food. When we arrived I was dismayed to see that we had to go downstairs and underground for the main restaurant. This meant no windows to see the fabulous city of Toronto on a lovely June day. There was a long wait... More
