A happy anniversary for us at Biff's Bistro

We were given a gift certificate for Christmas to an O&B restaurant and decided to use it right away for our anniversary. It was a warm late december night and we were among the last seatings on a Tuesday night. We came for the 'buck a shuck' oysters and because it was a quiet night we chose the... read more

This restaurant was high quality, but I expected more. We had a preset menu, and the only thing I really enjoyed was the mushroom soup. Most of my colleagues were also not very impressed with the restaurant. The atmosphere in the private room was nice, the service was excellent, but the food wasn't quite there. I would have expected more... More

We came for our first winterlicious dinner in 2016 and this place has exceeded our expectations. The appetizers were wonderful - we especially liked the fois gras. As for the mains, we followed our server's advice and ordered the steak and the sea bream - both very delicious. My husband ordered medium rare for the steak and it turned out... More

Bistro, a high and tough standard to live up to. A challenge to yourself and your custom. Lead with your name out front & take on all comers with hard & fast experience/delivery/finesse. Love the honesty of a real Bistro, any culture or cuisine :-) Regrettably, there is no Biff at Biff's. There is an Euro Disney "bistro" experience where... More

I was there in New Year Eve with my husband and 1 year old daughter. I review all the commend from here which I found that is a good restaurant but that is a little bit disappointed me because the service was so slow and they didn't considered the younger kid may hungry if the service too slow. And the... More

My wife and I have been to Biff's a few times now and are always lucky enough to get the same server (Ashley, who is absolutely fantastic. I hope she runs the place some day). We came in knowing exactly what we wanted from their regular menu, but were disappointed to learn that there was a Prix Fixe menu for... More

It appears to be very expensive from outside but after looking at the menu at the entrance I entered. Watch out for daily oyster special which is CAD1.00 a piece.

I love Biff's! The consistency in the service and food is top notch. Incredible chef's. Great menu changes periodically and awesome wait staff. Can't beat the oysters either!

Last visit to Biff's was very good, that was a few years ago. Disappointed this time, our server was friendly but that was really her only redeeming quality. We started the meal figuring we would try something we haven't had before, went with crispy pigs ears. I do not recommend them. As for the main course, the lamb was very... More

A large group went to Biff's after a long conference. We had the back room which allowed us to have some privacy and quiet. Our server, Al, was humorous and thoughtful throughout the evening. The food, fixed price menu, ranging from a Cheese tart to the tenderloin were delicious. I did not have the tuna, but others who did commented... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
