The Steakhouse in Toronto

Amazing steak that is fairly price. I have yet to be disappointed. Best wine list in the city. Dated décor that adds to the charm. Perfect for boys night out dinner. I highly recommend that you bring your appetite and order the porterhouse.

A classic Old School steak house. Ribeye was properly gamy and marbled while sirloin had good texture and flavor. Steaks come with a baked potato so you don't really need any other sides. wine list is impressive, but very much top loaded with most bottles over $200US. I was able to find a decent merlot for less than $70 but... More

The steak was VERY average, I've truthfully had a better sirloin at the Keg. The Barberian's version was overcooked and the waiter didn't even offer to replace it to meet standards one would expect at an expensive steak house. Mr. Barberian showed up and made a few jokes, truthfully, next time ask people how is the food and if you... More

I have been here numerous times, and have generally liked the food and the service. However, the price seems to have accelerated faster than the quality. Not sure that I would make this a regular spot

My wife and I visited this establishment twice in the last year. The first time it was great, service excellent, food spectacular, high end food for a high end price. Was very good. Our second time we were very disappointed. We felt rushed, they were some very loud talking regulars, service was abrupt and seemed more interested in the stories... More

I asked for a recommendation at the hotel for a reasonably priced steakhouse and they suggested Barberian's. While I enjoyed the food and drink, the prices were much higher than I expected to be "reasonable." They divide the restaurant into several rooms which helps keep the noise level down, though I was seated next to a table that had clearly... More

The wine room offers a mezzanine level dining area which we used for a 14 person lunch. This proves an easy ice breaker for all concerned as we admired the wine collection. The service and date proved excellent, with superb steaks and great wine enjoyed by all.

A friend of mine and I decided to celebrate Pride by going to Barberian's Steak House on Elm in Toronto, were had a nice table, the waiter however was not very welcoming to us at all, the food was very mediocre and the service was just short of terrible, they seem to have too much staff that caused one hostess... Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
