Sometimes I wonder why Barberians still attracts. The prices aren't cheap, and the resto is a bit anachronistic. But I keep going back. In fact, a surprising number of my close circle (my kids, my friends, my in-laws) will cite Barberians as their fave restaurant on the planet. I may not quite be there, but if I take into account... It has been a few years since I was in Toronto but I will never ever forget the meals at Barbarians Steak House. It is on the back of the Delta Chelsea where we stayed and the hotel said if you want a Steak go to Barbarians. OMG the steak that we had was phenomenal and we all finished everything... More

This is our favorite restaurant, even if we only get here once a year or so. The chateaubriand is the best. And if you've never had it you must try the chocolate mousse. Barbarians was recommended to us during a vacation trip about 20 years ago and most of the waitstaff is still there. That tells us that management treats... More

We came here for my husband's birthday dinner (his first time, my second). He was completely blown away. We started with the warm bread and moved on to the delicious french onion soup and Coquille Saint Jaques for our appetizers. We orderedthe filet and rib eye. Each were amazing! So tender and seasoned really well. I also thoroughly enjoyed the... More

Yesterday was my 2nd time at Barberian's. My first experience was quite pleasant actually. Yesterday, was a big letdown. The service was on point. My filet was no good - I don't know how to describe it other than just 'bad'. The broccoli on the side was undercooked and raw. Not worth the money I spent. I prefer harbor 60... More

My sister and I had the great privilege of eating at this restaurant on my last visit home. We where treated like royalty by both the staff and the owner. The atmosphere was exactly what you want for an old style steak house. The staff and owner where over the top with exceptional service and attention to detail. Food was... More

Just outside the Chelsey Eaton Hotel (more on that later) sits The Barberian (yes that spelling!). Appropriately dimly (sort of) lighted, with much old world charm, my colleague and i entered the gothic presence of Dracula's lair...hehheh. U know the type, red and dim and seemingly smoky ....!! Reminded me of The Brother's restaurant in Winnipeg (not sure if that... More

Upon sharing the news that tonight was our 25th anniversary, we were presented with champagne, and attention fit for the elite. The place was a great old steakhouse with the dim lighting, old school decor and flawless, and not at all rushed, service. We spent over three hours enjoying our meal and one another. Even our dessert had Happy Anniversary... More

What a great experience. This was our valentines dinner date this year. We ate well made properly done medium-rare steaks with servers offering horse radish that they placed on our plate separately. Incredible. Pearl jam played while we ate. What an incredible vibe. Manager thanked us and appreciated our appreciation of the great food that he sent us home with... More
