Expensive but good

Biggest wine list I've ever seen, and the wait staff are knowledgable. Steak is amazing although I'm not sure its worth the price they charge. If you want vegetables or béarnaise with your meal, you pay extra. The service is amazing. Its like stepping into the past a bit - the atmosphere is very... read more

I normally don't review restaurants unless they don't live up to my expectations. We were given a gift certificate to dine at Barberians & I hadn't been since I was in high school - about 33 years ago. The decor hasn't changed -it pays homage to the old school steakhouse but doesn't deliver on modern quality though. They don't have... More

This restaurant has quickly turned into one of my all time favorites in the world! I am one to celebrate birthdays throughout an entire week. This particular birthday week I have been to Barberian's twice. Both experiences were divine! The food is out of this world, the ambiance is to die for and the staff are nothing sort of outstanding!... More

The food at Barberians is good...there is no question about that. The problem is that it is expensive, and at the end of the day the food is really not that much better than at a Keg Restaurant which is considerably less expensive. One walks in off Yonge Street with its extraordinary ethnic diversity into a place where an elderly... More

Like any good old-fashioned steakhouse, dinner started with an assortment of delicious, most-likely homemade pickled veggies and a bread basket. Their wine selection is exceptional, you can't go wrong with having wine. Salads are average but massive. One is enough to share. My husband had the steak and loved it. I had the fish of the day and it was... More

We always look forward to dining here. The atmosphere, service and dinner is second to none. The house salad with blue cheese is fantastic. The wine selection of 20,000 is wonderful, although it can get pricey. The service was very good and, oh yeah, the steak dinner was great. Can't wait to go back.

This is an old school steak restaurant perfect for special occasions. We went there without any reservation on a saturday night and were very lucky to find a seating, as another party was exiting earlier. We had chateaubriand with bearnaise and it was at par with top restaurants in Paris. It is expensive, so beware, but it is definitely worth... More

My husband had picked this restaurant as our special meal while in Toronto. Had read the other reviews and knew it would be expensive, but we love food so we're happy to pay. We arrived without booking and were given a table no problem. There is a coat check, nice touch but another excuse for a tip. The menu is... More

Barberian's steak house has been around for years. A great restaurant to celebrate birthdays, etc. Went with my family for a celebration. While not inexpensive everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was good even though the restaurant was very busy. Not a trendy cool restaurant but an old fashion steak house. Restaurant has a great wine list. The ribs were even... More

Ok so the reason I gave it a 5 star rating is based on its steak, which is why you would come here. They also have an incredibly extensive wine list that is really a wine novel. The service was above and beyond from the moment we stepped into the place. The decor can be described as elegant with a... More
