When walking in the restaurant is dark, almost cave like. As I walked further in, the place reeks of history. Very classy. I ordered a ribeye w/rice & sprouts. Its expensive for the average person but I was blown away by the portion size. Meal comes with free bread, which was outstanding and pickled vegetables. The waiter was the most... More

Yes you can eat a quality steak here and they work with fresh products. Staff Needs to give a bid more attention to their guest.

I stopped in while working downtown. I wanted to treat myself to something fancy but once the menu was before me, I couldn't justify spending $60+ on a quick lunch by myself. I ordered the steak sandwich and had an immediate regret. Now I would be paying steak house prices for pub fare. What was I thinking? Well, I was... More

We first went to Barberian's in 1969 with a 3 year old and a newborn in a car bed (no seatbelts back then) It was one of our favorite steakhouses and we returned many times (without babies in tow). For 45 years we have recommended this restaurant, and we have toured the magnificent wine cellar. Last summer we were not... More

It's not a bad place as long as you bring a flashlight to find your table. But from what I could see, this restaurant is certainly steeped in tradition. Ordered roast prime rib. It was perfectly cooked and well marbled, but I found that the meat was lacking flavour. Maybe not aged well enough. I'd rate it average, nothing special,... More

We have previously been to Barberian's but wanted to treat our teenage kids to a true part of Toronto. As always, the filets were great and cooked to perfection. Service was excellent and the staff very attentive. It is not cheap but prices are comparable to similar steakhouses but Barberian's has a feel all to its own. We had the... More

I've been here many times and every time I am impressed. The decor, service and food are all unique and delightful. DECOR Enter through the unassuming front door and you will be transported back in time. This isn't your modern day steakhouse where dark wood and minimalistic decor rule the day. Everywhere you look, there is history: old guns, pictures... More

A steak house with character and a extensive wine list. The steaks a prepared exactly as requested and are seasoned just right. This is a must stop if in Toronto.

We were lucky enough to have dinner in the wine cellar. It adds a special touch to the meal. The steaks were huge and well cooked. The ageing of the steak gives it much more flavour. Their steak rub is also great. The wine list is incredible with some good value picks in addition to all the classic. However, the... More

Visited Barberians with a business partner visiting from the US. Evening started with a great martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and continued with discreet but attentive service at the table. Definitely and "old school" steakhouse that knows what it is doing. Appetizers were great and the steaks were perfectly cooked. I would recommend Barberians for business meetings and special... More
