Maybe you can't go back

My husband and I used to dine here in the '80's and '90's on special occasions so we recently sought it out when we were in town. It was ok.. Lots of great choices on the lunch buffet, but just didn't have the same feeling for us, didn't feel as authentic Thai. Wait staff was friendly and helpful... read more

Went to Bangkok Garden for Summerlicious dinner. We Ordered the duck which was not very good and the Thai curry which was decent. The service was terrible there were 2 waiters servicing the entire restaurant, which basically meant no service. I was trying to flag the waiter to get a clean knife with no luck. Finally, I got up and... More

We ordered 3 pagoda's chicken curry which is a nice tasty mild curry with potato. The other meal we had was seafood fried rice. Also had some cold rolls for starters. All the food was fresh, good quality and well presented. The waiting staff were also good and serving time good.

Was here for the summerlicious 2015. Food was great! The portion are comparably big for three course meal; we all going out with a satisfied tummy. The restaurant ambient is very nice. Unfortunately, we were seated on the upstairs and our server is very stiff and was not quick enough to respond our request.

We came here for Summerlicious and found the choice of dinner items to be very nice. We wanted something a little different as that's why we opted for Thai. The wine selection was also quite good. My Phad Thai was absolutely delicious! Decor and ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for a date. For a Thai restaurant this was a... More

Great place to come if you want to grab a bite after the spa with your girlfriends, but I would definitely share the dishes because the portions are huge and who could possibly eat a huge dish of curry alone?

I was in town for business and the hotel recommended this restaurant. The flavors were delicious but the shrimp needed to be cooked longer. Kunthira was an excellent waitress. She was knowledgeable and very friendly. Overall, great flavor. I think next time I would pick the chicken satay which you can't go wrong with it.

We were back to the restaurants do we still love it! The fresh spring rolls and pineapple shrimp curry were delicious. However, we were not impressed with the satay. Overall we enjoyed the food and service and we'll be back.

We fell in love with the look of this restaurant. Elm street has such character set off busy Young St. We had the pleasure of sitting on the patio and had excellent customer service from a student originally fromNiagra Falls. He was a true asset to this restaurant. We had yummy my cocktails-Mai Thai &mango martini! The pineapple shrimp curry... More

Loved the décor and the ambiance of the restaurant! The menu variety was ok, nothing special. The food quality was average as well. What was disappointing is the service. The waitress did not check with us whether we liked our food and we to constantly flag somebody else whenever we needed something. It looked like the manager was notified of... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
