Amazing

We saw the reviews on trip advisor and wanted to try it out so met some friends there we all were happy with the food and wanted to order more and more. The price is good. We will return when next in the area.

As Chef Nathan says, "it's a trust experiment..." You trust the Chef and the Chef trusts you. Every dish and drink pairing was perfect. We really enjoyed this food adventure.

The owner of this restaurant is The Batman of cooking as far as I'm concerned. Who is he? What's going on? Where am I? Chef Nathan... what a guy. Like a shy barnacled chill farmer sea captain. We went for my birthday dinner and I literally had absolutely no idea where we were going until we arrived... and then I... More

We were suspicious when we sat down but from the first drink it only got better with each course. Put your evening in Nathan's capable hands and you will be overcome with a new and fantastic evening. Be sure to make a reservation.

It was kismet that this dining experience would be sublime! With no dinner reservations on a Saturday night with good friends and scanning reviews desperately it looked like take - out when Nathan called from Atlantic asking if we still wanted to come for dinner. Did we? And then when a car pulled out of a coveted metered spot across... More

Absolutely unique dining experience. I guess the restaurant got a boost of popularity after being featured on the popular show 'million dollar review'. I booked it and I wasn't disappointed. Atmosphere is romantic, a bit dark though, but it works. Food was great, I asked him to make me a dish that was featured on the show and he did,... More

After seeing a show called the Million Dollar Critic and his review of the Atlantic Restaurant here in Toronto - we thought we would try this eclectic place out. Nathan the chef is this unassuming sweet gentle soul that obviously loves to cook for people. He made us some amazing food and kept us smiling throughout as he came out... More

Amazing, original and creative food. Friendly, humble host. I felt like we were guests in chef Nathan's home. It's an interesting concept. No menu, no set hours per se, no price list.... wait, what? My friend and I were greeted warmly upon arrival with an explanation of how things worked. A short time later our first course and paired beverage... More

My boyfriend and I went to The Atlantic for my birthday and had the most amazing meal. Chef Nathan made us the most delicious unique food and drinks made with local, ethically sourced ingredients. He does not have a menu or a price list - you pay what you like. He cooks incredible food and is redefining what a fine... More

Guaranteed to be unlike any experience you have ever had at a restaurant, the most liberating aspect of The Atlantic was the lack of any distractions other than the food itself (with the occasional beverage pairing). No front of the house looking over your shoulders, no menus to confuse things, no alcohol to muddy the waters, no prices to ponder.... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
