Pleasant surprise

I recently stayed at the Park Hyatt hotel while on business in Toronto. My flight arrived late in the evening and I didn't have the energy to leave the hotel for dinner, despite being in the heart of the Yorkville neighbourhood. I expected little of the restaurant, though it has high ratings on... read more

Had afternoon tea at Annona with my girl friends and had a great time. Service was excellent and presentation of the food was good - beautiful tea set and all. However, the food quality was just so-so; a bit disappointed.

Maybe it's because I'm too used to American hotel restaurants -- but this one is really good. It's certainly worth stopping by even if you're not staying at the Park Hyatt. At least for lunch it's an elegant delight. Tapenade and olive oil served to all guests along with great breads, including a really awesome olive bread. The entrees also... More

Had afternoon tea here recently and we were impressed by the pretty tea cups & tea pots with co-ordinating tulips upon arrival. Service was great and the staff were friendly. The tea list was short and it would of been nice to have more caffeine free teas offered (you had to ask which ones had caffeine as they did not... More

We ate at Annona Restaurant this past weekend during Winterliscious.....what a pleasant surprise. I never have high hopes for restaurants in hotels (Park Hyatt Toronto Yorkville) but this one changed my opinion. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Valentina to our wait staff who provided impeccable service, we were impressed. The food was outstanding; this was by... More

We ate at Annona Restaurant in the Park Hyatt Hotel this weekend and were disappointed with both the quality of the food offered and certainly also with the service provided. This is a typical hotel restaurant but not of the quality that world travelers would expect from a quality perspective. Given the proximity of the hotel to the Yorkville area... More

Many restaurants in Toronto claim to be good but they serve factory farmed animals and the waiters don't know what a free range egg is. Annona is different. The meats are sourced from quality farms, the eggs are free range and you can taste the difference. The price is excellent. Chain restaurants and pubs sell mains for about the same... More

We ate Christmas dinner at Annona restaurant two days ago. Our expectations were met and then some! Tatania, the manager and host, and our server, Pari, were highly skilled and had excellent manners. We felt well-looked after, and the food was excellent. One of our party had a food allergy, and the chef went out of his way to accommodate... More

I knew things were gong well as soon as I made the reservation, as I was asked at once about food allergies and other such problems. Even more so: when I drove up to the hotel entrance the door staff were unusually efficient in helping my 89-year-old guest with her wheelchair, getting it out of the trunk and her in... More
