Excellent steak and service

I am a huge fan of steaks... I did not expect my stay at the Hyatt to turn into such a nice dinner experience. The steak truly was one of the best I have ever eaten, cooked to perfection. I also had high tea there one day which was OK. Not bad but not as glorious as the steak! :)

Had one super dinner here, and five breakfasts. Service consistently gracious and professional. Food always well prepared and kitchen was flexible with special requests.

We went to this restaurant to meet with friends, so I can honestly say I was spared the sting of the abysmally bad meal and the incompetent service. We were too focused on conversation to care. Nonetheless, we waited 20 minutes after being seaed before our drink order was taken. A full 50 minutes past before our dinner orders were... More

Food was great, service was fantastic, really nice place to eat! We came here as we were staying at the Park Hyatt and Hyatt always has delicious food! We got the Octopus and grilled eggplant cannelloni for starters (Both were very good) and the Seafood risotto and Lamb chops for our mains. The Risotto was wonderful (I got the small... More

Before a full sightseeing day, we enjoyed breakfast at Annona. Instead of the typical breakfast buffet, the choices were ample enough to provide good options. For the convenience and value, and since we were staying at Park Hyatt, it was the right answer for a breakfast choice.

The food was very good.We had excellent service. Since it was our anniversary, our server made us a special dessert. The decor is ok but could use some decorative touches ie fresh flowers on the tables, artwork. The wine list needs to add a few moderately priced choices.

We always get a veggie risotto and it's fabulous, not on the menu but they do well with modifications. The bread is fresh, slightly salted with feta and olive, salad was perfect as well.

I expected Annona to be a typical hotel restaurant providing a bland meal in a drab room but I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food, attentive staff and comfortable surroundings. I had an excellent steak accompanied by a very enjoyable Shiraz. The other menu items sounded good too. Not as pricey as nearby Mortons and other... More

I enjoyed a really superb arugula and pear salad for lunch. It was a simple pairing but the flavours worked well together and the food was presented well. The service was excellent too. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive. I liked that they gave you a variety of thinly sliced fruit wedges with your water (lemon, lime and orange).... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
