My family and I had dinner at Allens. The patio was wonderful. The food was very overpriced and bland . We had an appetizer, two orders of fish and chips and a cheeseburger for my son. The bill was $120. I am dissapointed to say the food was under seasoned, fish and chips were overcooked and very oily and the... More

Visited this restaurant to try out the infamous burger ranked #8 according to Toronto Life (http://www.torontolife.com/daily-dish/from-the-print-edition-daily-dish/2012/05/16/25-best-burgers/attachment/tlburgers2012_8/). Well all I can say is that the burger was tiny and very average in taste. I wouldn't return for sure unless it's for something else on the menu that is recommended by a credible source.

This can be a nice place to visit. Very good service, a lovely back patio with perhaps the city's 'best willow tree' and the best possible beer menu make for an enjoyable lunch. It was also good to see ownership grow up and finally relent to new anti-smoking bylaws. But one seldom hears folks rave about the food here. On... More

Great Guinness. Great Whiskeys. Authentic Irish with pro service, but you pay. Pay top dollar for drinks. Pay Top dollar for ambience. Pay top dollar for the food. The food is good but overpriced for an Irish place on the Danforth. Older crowd and established? This is your bar. Qiuet and low key? This is your place.

A fantastic place to eat! I love to go to Allen's especially during the warm weather months! They have excellent food and a fabulous outdoor patio. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. The tastes and flavours simply wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely and they have a huge selection of different beers for the beverage lovers in the crowd. You... More

My family, friends and I have frequented Allen's for many years. It has an amazing beer and wine list, make sure to ask for the sommelier- he is brilliant and the only person to serve me red wine from Ontario that I have enjoyed! I love the atmosphere. It's great for small groups, not too quiet, not too noisy, cozy... More

Always great food, beautiful outside patio in the back. Staff are always helpful and fun. In the summer they have an outside grill going with some great specials. A few of us had the huge Porterhouse Steak...hmmm good.

This is a bustling place. There were few empty tables tonight, and honestly? I don't get it. I have lived in this neighbourhood for 23 years, and eaten hear many times, and each time I am less and less impressed. The prices keep rising, and the food quality and quantity keeps declining. Service tonight, though friendly, was hurried and stressed,... More

Went to this pub/ restaurant after reading all the reviews on the great burgers. Maybe it is a hit and miss cos those burgers were middle of the road. There was nothing bad but nothing spectacular either. They were definitely not seasoned to our liking at all. The halibut fish and chips were really nice and the capon wings were... More

This is a great spot on the Danforth for a night out. My wife and I went out for a nice dinner before heading over to the Dora Keogh to hear the Circumstantialists play their monthly gig. I had the burger and my wife had the Lamb Shank with Champ. We had to do a bit of research to figure... More
