This is my first experience eating Ethiopian food. It was enjoyable though there were a few things I was a little nervous to try. Overall it was a positive experience. The restaurant is quite small and was crowded. Very hard to move around. Service was slow at first but then got better. Would try again.

I have been several times with family and friends to this Ethiopian restaurant in my neighbourhood. The atmosphere is very cosy, the waitresses welcoming and smiling, and the food is authentic ! It is a fabulous way to share a meal in a non conventional way: everyone shares the same huge platter where the food is resting on the Ethiopian... More

I have no idea why it took me so long to visit Lalibela. I love Ethiopian food, but tend to eat it only when Im abroad. Well, that has certainly changed - good food and good service. I expect to return very soon

Nice place, good service and food; better than other Ethiopian restaurants I've been too. Prices were decent for the portion size. Only negative thing I have to say is that the meat (lamb and beef) were a little too well done for my liking and a bit on the chewy side.

Pub transport Clo - Ossington Station Great restaurant , great food (ethiopian here :) ) , great portions and good prices. service is quick but not incredibly friendly. Id say , < $20 per person including a 10% tip. try out the meat or vegetable combo. I was at the restaurant twice in a week and found the service to... More

It was my first time in an Ethiopian restaurant and I was surprised how good the food is. The spices are nice, a lot of vegetables and we eat using a kind of pancake-bread as a fork! The price is also nice and there ir plenty of food (we asked for 2 persons and we were in 3 persons).

We come here regularly out of habit and proximity. There are times when the food is excellent. However, more often than not, the food is mediocre. Sometimes it's too salty (or no flavour), or other times the food isn't always hot. The waitresses are friendly, but the service is unbelievably SLOW. Have a snack before you go.

I went to Lalibela a few nights ago and it was so good. The fish in tomato sauce was unbelievable -- you wanted to lick the inside of the dish it was served in. The vegetarian plate was also good. We had the coffee service which was interesting -- the roast the coffee and bring it to the table, bring... More

My friend's mechanic (from Ethiopia) recommended Lalibela, so we waited until the Groupon offer came up. Although the menu isn't extraordinary, the food is quite good. If you're unfamiliar with this cuisine, then take your time to read the options and ask the servers. If you're worried about chillies, then ask for mildly-hot. Dinner for four: we ordered two vegetarian... More

I had never experienced true Ethiopian cuisine. This very small restaurant is located on Bloor Street West. The atmosphere is nothing elegant. It was very busy requiring a small wait. I did notice many local Ethiopian people dining there. To me this is a good sign that the food must be very good. As I knew nothing about this cuisine,... More
