I've visited this restaurant during Toronto Jazz Festival. The only think I enjoyed was the jazz performance, the rest was just terrible. The food was not fresh at all and not tasting as indian food. The server was kept giving nonsense compliments. More to all these the air circulation in the restaurant was too bad and we were just burning... More

Certainly not the place to take a client if you are hoping to close a $$$ deal, but for less than $20.00, no drinks in that price, and last time it was only $15.00- a Tuesday special. Self service buffet, and a good selection, huge selections mean you re not sure what to take. It's extremely close to 2 of... More

This place is below street level and looks ordinary if not worn out. We went for a Sunday lunch buffet pre-theatre and were met with mind-numbing and ear-blasting commercial radio that had more commercials than music . Really.... Virgin radio blasting in an Indian Restaurant. The music miscue reflects in the food which is uninspired and has lots of reheated... More

I went with my friends (total 14 people) to this well known restaurant. We ordered a papri chat. It was horrendous. Looks like the chef has never seen or eaten one. It was full of some orange color with only chana. We ordered a main course and it was extremely oily and tasteless. To mention even the parathas were so... More

Thursdays at KAMA is a great experience. The Canadian Jazz Quartet are outstanding musicians and always have a first class soloist to provide excellent entertainment. The Indian food is the best we have found in the Toronto area. A great evening all round. David H.

Firstly, service at Kama was excellent. The staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. Naan bread was served fresh at the table, as required. We were not rushed and the bill was brought to the table immediately upon request.so whether previous reviewers hit the place on a bad day, or the restaurant heeded those reviews, there was nothing wrong with the... While the starters were fresh, the currries served were definitely one of the worst I had in TO. Will stay away from this one as there are a huge number of choices for Indian food in down town TO.

There's Indian food all over Toronto, so please do not waste your time here. Not the just the food was lacking, but the service was also terrible. It took us forever just to order our drinks, and the place was dead. They really don't have any excuse.

I only send in reviews when the restaurants are really good or really bad.Unfortunately Kama is certainly the latter. We attend the theater in Toronto on a regular basis, normally with friends who are not fans of Indian food. As they could not attend this show, we took the opportunity to go and try Kama. We were advised by the... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
