I joined a colleague for lunch at Jump for Summerlicious. We both had the Pig and Parsley Terrine, Agnolotti with basil and artichokes and the Artisan Chocolate Marquise Cake. I really enjoyed the entire meal other than how many artichokes were in the pasta. I found they really overpowered the other flavors and I was really loving the other flavors!... More

Our first visit to Jump was overall a very good experience. The service by an attentive team was excellent and with one exception so were all courses of the meal-the main on one summerlicious menu-Alberta lamb- was mediocre.

Recently had the summerlicious luncheon menu which was disappointing. Appetizer and dessert were good but the main (lamb sandwich) was very fatty which for a cold sandwich was not appealing.

After a disappointing 1st pass through an O&B venue, we set our sights on Jump. My MIL & myself, had both received favourable news at our respective Defib & Eye Clinics via St. Mike's & we were not to be swayed. We set out to go to Jump, this time calling as we walked to book at table. After my... More

Had dinner with 7 of my co-workers for Summerliscious and the food did not meet our expectations. Starters were re-used as garnishes on the main dishes, example is the cold soup and tomato salad was used in the meat dishes. Desserts were less than average, examples: chocolate cake tasted the same as the regular cakes you would buy at grocery... More

Food is excellent (Charcol cooked Pork was amazing). Great presentation in a New York inspired atmoesphere. Nice wine list with many Niagara wines available (try "Between the Lines" or something from "Thirty Bench Winery") etc. First visit here, but will try "Canoe" restaurant soon (same owners)...

Nice open room, all the right downtown décor, and the service was very efficient. The food, while quite well executed, lacked a certain something. Mushroom soup was very tasty, but the risotto was a bit bland. Double espresso to end wasn't quite hot enough to pass the test.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
