Very good italian

Great Italian food. If you can't find something on the menue they'll make it for you!! Friendly staff, good wine selection. A bit pricy. Not recommended to take small children!!! Restaurant is usually very busy with locals and you should get a reservation if possible.

A gem in Toronto. Choose between the cozy ground floor, romantic upstairs or, lovely back patio. I have tried the whole menu, everything I liked. Eat here. Carpaccio, veal limone, mussels, paella are some of my faves.

Gamberoni is a wonderful restaurant to visit if you are looking for great Italian food. This family-run restaurant has been around for many years and the food continues to get better all the time. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed and often the restaurant is filled with locals from the area. The linguine and clams is probably the best we... More

Have been coming here on and off for over 20 years and always consistent. In the past few years have gone more regularly and, after going through the menu several times, they suggested alternate dishes not on the menu. Although, I still order my favourites most times, the odd time, I ask them for advice based on what sauce/meat/fish I... More

I am a regular customer here, come here weekly and feel like it's my mother cooking for me and I'm not even Italian. I never order from the menu, they always prepare amazing food and my family and friends who I bring here love it!

We started with sardines, beautifully done in with garlic, a salad and meatballs on a great pasta, my companions had the ragu, and another wanted chicken with a tomato sauce - not on the menu but no problem. I have been here several times always find the food well prepared, staff accommodating and good value.

Went there not on my choice with neighbourhood friends who wanted "Seafood". I have avoided this establishment owing to the incredibly arrogant substandard service I had received on multiple occasions, many years ago. We got there no reservation on a Friday night, were seated immediately, and service from the outset was good, except when we tried to get out. It... More

We had a ladies dinner here tonight and it was awful. Horrible service, they were not busy so, we didn't understand why the lack of service. The waiters didn't understand what we wanted and when they brought our meal it was over spiced, I asked for NO spices. Also, the waiter was full of himself, making stupid jokes about the... More

very friendly, accommodating staff...it was a busy night, probably not the place for quiet dinner, but, rather, one to enjoy with friends..bustling is the word....limited experience with Italian food, but we ordered the Veal Parmiagana and the Veal Limone and both were delicious...very affordable as well...very pleased with all aspects of Gamberoni...would definitely return....

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
