Good service, good food.

Visited Toronto using Mirvish Theatre Package. Great deal: tickets to Kinky Boots, Dinner at Fred's Not Here and Night at the Sheraton. Can't beat this offer. I picked Fred's for dinner because the menu was posted on their website. It was a good choice.

..... I would have given him a pat on the back for a delightful experience! Having heard numerous good reviews, I had always wanted to go here. Finally made it during this year's Summerlicious and boy, was I in for a treat! The lobster bique en croute (topped with puff pastry) was a delicious affair! Seafood paella followed with generous... My friends already ordered from the Summerlicious menu. It was overpriced and the service was bad. No one wants to go back. Their waiter with the gazillion tattoos (nothing against tattoos) is one crappy waiter. He only had to bring me a salad and water. Well the salad had large, uncut leaves so a knife was needed. Instead I just... More

My girlfriends and I dined at FNH, and we truly enjoyed it all. Our waiter was personable, and had a great sense of humour. We went by his recommendations and loved it!

Went here for summerlicious. I am not overly impressed. The kale salad had a goodvtasting cheese in it which made it good. I had the short ribs, although slow cooked and tender the gravy tasted like a cheap store bought gravy. Along with the mashed potatoes and peas it tasted like a microwave dinner. There are a lot of good... More

I love coming to this place for two things. The lobster and crab bisque and the seafood paella. They are lucky the bisque is somewhat unique to this place for there is a waiter there that really needs to work on his customer service skills. He gave me this look when he gave me the wrong drink (like it was... More

Great food, excellent service. We went when Summerlicious was on, and the deal was absolutely fantastic. $23 for a starter, main course, and dessert. The starter and main course are huge, they definitely do not skimp on the sizes. The dessert was a bit smaller, but in the end, it was kind of the perfect size after eating so much... More

The food was delicious and there was a lot of variety. The lobster and crab soup was a winner. I also had the brisket and my husband had the jerk chicken. Everything was delicious and the service was speedy. The prices were reasonable and the restaurant was packed. My only complaint...the tables were reallycrammed in the restaurant and the wall... There are lots of options along King St. in the theatre district and I've been led to believe that most of them are not great. We stopped in here to escape the rain on a Saturday afternoon and had an excellent meal. One of the best burgers I've ever had, paired with shoestring fries (fried in duck fat! Yum!!). Polite... We had reservations, however we ran into huge traffic and we were late. We called to let them know. When we got to the restaurant we were told not very politely that the kitchen would take at least 40 minutes to get any food to us at all so we left, we could not take the chance that we would... Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
