I was craving steak and we saw the name of this place and the reviews and figured it was worth trying. We ate sort of late, so it wasn't overly busy, but there were still a decent amount of people there. We were seating right away and our server was very friendly. I ordered the dry aged NY strip prime... More

After many years knowing of its existence we decided to try it for the first time and we were not disappointed. From start to finish the food quality is top notch as is the service. The tables are very close together and this place is busy. Energy level is high as is the noise but this does not take away... More

Stopped here for a pre-theatre lunch. Service was good but they seemed to be stretched thin - an additional waiter/waitress would have been perfect for the lunch time crowd. The honey vinaigrette on the mixed greens was delicious, as was my grilled cheese with brisket sandwich. My spouse had a caeser salad (with a little too much garlic in it)... More

We went to dinner here on a Friday night during Winterlicous (prix fix menus - super popular and busy time for restaurants in Toronto). At first walking in, it was crowded. They do not have any type of waiting area and there was a large group waiting to be seated. There was some confusion with our reservation, there is a... More

They were very accommodating with our reservation for the Winterlicious. We originally had a party of 6 for 9:45pm. Two of my friends dropped out last minute and we called the day before to change the reservation and see if we could get an earlier slot, which they gave us happily. Fred's Not Here provided a number of options for... More

This is my first choice of restaurants when I'm going to a show. Everything I've had is fabulous but the lobster bisque soup is what makes it my first choice. It's the best thing on the menu and it's a very good menu. If there's a prix fixe menu available, go for that.

We were originally supposed to go to a very high end restaurant for Winterlicious that is supposed to be one of the best in the city and very expensive...but Fred's was better! My boyfriend has gone to the aforementioned restaurant and other summer/winter-licious restaurants but said this was the best experience so far(he didn't really enjoy the others). The ambience... You only have 6 days left, so hurry up and book! It is the best restaurant in the Winterlicious group of restaurants that I have been to and I have been to many restaurants over the years. The staff are so accommodating and courteous, Andrew our waiter was fantastic! For 35.00 the menu is amazing. 6 choices of appetizers, 6... More

We visited Fred's Not Here for the first time during Winterlicious 2015. We were so impressed with the excellent food, great service and ambiance. Despite the fact that the place was completely full, our waiter, Mark, was very attentive, efficient and quick. There were many choices for a Winterlicious menu. The steak was a very generous portion and of excellent... More
