Good and cheap ...but

I've been in Toronto for a month and I have gone to crocodiles like 5 times , on Wednesday and Fridays . Friday is really crowded and good music , it's for all ages , you see a lot of young student from abroad , but you also see a lot of Canadians 30's and 40's. It's cheap before 10... read more

Went to Crocodile Rock with 3 other girls, and we had a great time. We went on a Wednesday on "911 night". We got there after 11, paid a 5$ cover charge and explored the rooftop terrace as well as the ground floor. We didn't eat here or anything since we came for the sort of club/bar part of it.... More

We went here with a few couples. It was a bit of a younger crowd but it was a lot of fun. Live karaoke kept the place hopping. The house band was great and the drinks were reasonably priced. They will definitely be seeing us there again

I went here with a group of friends all around 23-27. We were a big group, so we had fun either way, but the place was crawling with old men, men too old and too drunk. The music was fun, the drinks were cheap, but i would only recommend this place if youre going with a big group of friends... More

My boyfriend and I had an enjoyable, festive and fun filled NYE party at Crocodile Rock, Toronto. This place is for those who love to drink and dance, an after dinner getaway! The music was fabulous, the drinks were reasonable, and the entrance fee at $20 was one of the most reasonable I have come across for an NYE celebrations... More

Fun bar for cheap beer ($2.50) and huge chicken nachos plate. Staff is also generous when they pour glasses of wine. It can get loud pretty quickly. Nice roof top patio but must get there early to find a spot.

I came to this place with a bunch of my buddies in August 2013. We were all 21-22, still naive and hitting our biological primetime. What we found, were people long past theirs. I got groped by women who taught my mother in high school. There was a guy in his 50's absolutely blasted on wine standing at the bar.... More

We've been going to Crocodile Rock on New Year's Eve for the last 6 years. It is fun! Great music as usual!! There was a balloon drop, hats and matching horns. Drinks were $4 all night. I've celebrated my birthday here too. The music is always good. It is my favourite place to go dancing. The food is good too.... More

It meant much to us to spend the New Year's countdown at a bar we've been to before. Not wanting to try others due to this, the ad they posted that there was a balloon drop during midnight and party favors to be distributed to all guests was nothing but just a come on ! Both did not happen that... More

I've been going to Croc off and on for years and I highly recommend it! The staff is super friendly, fun, and always entertaining, especially when the bartender Jose lights shooters on fire! The place is unpretentious, unlike many other bars in the city, and you always meet great people and everyone's out to have a great time! The DJ... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
