I had a friend in town not so long ago and we had gone to a movie...about....middle of the evening on a Thursday night. When we left the movie, we weren't quite ready to call it a night. She was the guest and I was the hostess, so I was like. I gotta come up with something. So, I says... More

Go to the back bar. Jonathan will take care of you. We had some delicate palates and Jonathan made the beverages work. Go there.

Attended after googling what is on Toronto...and spotted a mixology competition for jamiesons whisky. Lively ,loud and young!!...we did not let the fact we increased the average age somewhat distract us from our delicious food and wine..that was when the wine arrived..minor grumble, but we did have to remind the waitress she had forgotten our drinks, which were on the bar!!..However... My friend and I decided to give this place a try during. The appetizers are great, so is the bar, the ambiance a‎nd the service. The stairs to the washrooms are a little be of a safety hazard though. On a Friday night, they charge cover, though the music wasn't worth paying for it.

Never went here to eat there, we only went to listen to the band playing on Sunday night, The Grind. The bar gets packed with people dancing to the music of this great band. The vocalist is such an amazing singer and dancer. You can't stop looking at her.

Looking for a place to celebrate an occasion we found this place on line. Called the bar and ordered seats a few days before, we asked about food and were sent the menu (the one which is on this website). What was our shock when after ordering drinks we were told that they don't serve foods! 15 hundred people after... More

Went recently on a Saturday night and based on some of the write-ups was very excited; however, in the end we came away very disappointed. The atmosphere is cold and uninviting. The room lacks decore or warmth and is very bright. While the staff is generally friendly, service is average. The menu is basically a variety of average deep fried... More

I just love this place, and honestly I can not say much for other nights other than SUNDAYS...I frequent this place for years, and everytime I go there my option is on Sundays...The music is lovely and the crowd is amaizing! This little charming little bar, with a lovely exposed brick wall, make my body crave for old school live... More

The last time I went to College Street Bar, I went with five friends on a slow Thursday evening. The staff was friendly, great with recommendations but not pushy. Service was a little slow at times, but not too bad. This wouldn't be a good place to go if you're looking for a relatively quick dinner (less than 1.5 hours)... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
