Great place for couples or friends

Went here for dinner the other day. It was very quiet inside and clean. There are a lot of options on the menu which can be daunting but that means there is something for everyone. I ended getting the spaghetti. I wasn't expecting it to be anything great to be honest but it was delicious! Probably... read more

My partner and I live in the area, but have never been in before. We decided to try it for lunch. The interior is pleasant enough, and we had a good vibe. Our server, however, seemed disinterested and was not very attentive. My partner was craving a burger, but I ask: what makes a hamburger? Is it just ground beef... More

I was really pleased upon walking in, someone greeted me immediately. Comfortable seating, leather bench seats. Classy and chic decor, with a Montreal feel. The service staff is perky and fun. The menu is fresh, exciting, unique. something for everyone here. I had the soup, you could tell it was crafted with love and dedication. Worth a try

My wife and I and another couple went for dessert in late February. We have been here several times before but the last couple of times were disappointing. I ordered a Mango Italian soda and a piece of pie with ice cream. The pie was OK but the soda had a SMALL shot of flavour that was gone with the... More

I took my young son for crepes tonight and it was "great"; the whole place has changed for the better. I have to commend the management as the servers were kind, helpful and very polite. I would recommend this as an upcoming 5 star restaurant in the area. I really enjoyed my time and experience. They had live jazz tonight... More

This was my first visit to this location. Beautiful atmosphere, clean environment, courteous attendants, delicious and well decorated food as well as good prices. Will certainly be back.

I went to Mirage for an early dinner with my Mom on a weekday in September. When we arrived there were only about six tables occupied and we were told to seat ourselves. The hostess followed us to our table, put menus down and walked away. We sat there with out menus for about 15 minutes. The waitress walked over,... More

We were late...like 10.45 p.m. late and the breakfast "served all day till 6 p.m." on the menu looked really tempting. I asked the waitress if maybe I could get it anyway and she sent the manager over who said "we really put all that stuff away at 6, but I have time, I will make it for you!" and... More

Came here on a Sunday night for food and dessert. I thought the prices were a bit high for the amount of food you get. The spicy pesto pizza is pretty decent, but all their pizzas can take up to 30 mins or less. This place reminds me of Demetré's but with hot food as well. The Mirage burger is... More

We went to Moores and one of the employees suggested we visit Cafe Mirage Grill & Lounge. The place was busy when we showed up and they told us that we would have a 20 minute wait. Wrong - we waited for 30 minutes before they came and told us that we would have to wait an additional 30 minutes.... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighborhood Profile
Scarborough
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
