I will be honest and say I have not tried the food here. I went to watch a Soccer game here and the place was packed, which was expected. However the staff and management were very organised and although I know it was busy they really did not handle the people or situation well. I actually watched a manager argue... More

Cafe Dip is a great hang for Torontonians with cheap eats and underwhelming coffee. I've eaten here twice and both times I found myself wishing I had tried another establishment. The food simply isn't fresh nor well-prepared. I've had the chicken parmesan: It was greasy, the breading skinned off in an unappetizing mess, and the pasta was overcooked. One would... More

My husband and I visited during Taste of Italy. Loved the atmosphere, reminded us of eating al fresco in Rome and the service staff were great but the food, not so much. We had antipasto misto which was the worst we've ever had and the pizza is not authentic wood burning, but we did enjoy the cannoli and tiramisu. In... More

Charging $15 per person per hour during the World Cup I think stinks! Is that even legal? I was in the line when they put up these signs and left immediately. Get off your high horse, you have a big screen big whoop! See you again never! 👎

Cafe Diplomatico is located in the Little Italy portion of Toronto and is the kind of place to go in order to get a taste of the local scene and not have too much of a tourist feel. We were able to land a table on the outside patio and the scene was pretty good for the afternoon that we... More

We enjoyed a sunny afternoon on the large Diplimatico patio in the heart of Little Italy. Delicious sangria and really great thin crust pizza. All of the food coming out looked terrific but we just had two build your own pizzas. The personal pizza was quite large, our server was charming and we look forward to returning!

We live in the suburbs now -- city life beckons --- every 90 days or so we get into town --The Dip is one of our favourite restaurants because it is casual, unpretentious, modestly priced ,the food is good and it is WAY COOL ---- real local people , real atmosphere , ...and, GOD, we hope they don't gentrify ,... There's nothing pretentious about this restaurant. It's a neighbourhood place, with locals mixing with visitors crammed in side by side. The food is well presented, very tasty and leaves you feeling stuffed. The staff were attentive and responsive. The prices were very reasonable. A great choice for some authentic Italian fare.

good traditional, solid Italian food and really good service. Excellent house wine (Brindisi). There is a good choice of first and main courses for their special menus. And the meals are copious. The chicken parmgiani was more thant I could ea,t thought eggplant parmigianit lacked eggplant.

Had a takeout pizza here for a group of friends. Pizza was ready when I arrived to collect it and we were all very pleased with our choices. The 'small' pizza was large enough for an adult. I'll be back.
