Good restaurant in the Financial district in downtown Toronto

Food is always good, not too many choices though. Great Service. A little pricey but overall good experience.

Continues to shine after all these years. Not a big fan of underground dining, so generally I stay away from the downstairs. The upstairs bar and lounge and patio is where its at. Great service with consistently good food at lunch. The shrimp tacos served in beet chips cannot be outdone. On point!

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner here. We shared the octopus appetizer and it was superb. I had duck breast and small croquettes for my main; it was good but not the best, however the presentation was stunning. My wife enjoyed the scallops and pork belly. We shared a trio of desserts and each one of them was quite... More

Bymark has a lovely outdoor patio which would be perfect for a cocktail or a glass of wine on an afternoon or evening after work in the summer if the service wasn't so terrible. Apparently acknowledging that a table might want drinks and menus is too much of a chore so instead we were ignored for several minutes by staff... More

We recently dined here and had a lovely experience. We ate in the main dining room which was subdued but very pleasant. Staff was experienced and well trained. A very good menu with something for just about everyone.

My friends and I, four of us, decided to go to Bymark for an impromptu dinner while I was visiting Toronto a couple of weeks ago. The service was average nothing great for Canadian standards. We decided to go for the Summerlicious menu as we wanted to try a bit of everything. The appetizer, pork belly, was good and as... More

I have wanted to eat at Bymark for a while now. So naturally when my schedule opened up and we were able to secure a table for Summerlicious, I was very excited! I tried not to buildup my expectations too much but even if I had, they would have been surpassed! I had the Beet and Minted Lemon Ricotta, Halibut... More

I had a summerlicious dinner with my wife and I was quite a bit disappointed, especially since I was looking forward to this meal. Service was pretty good overall, beautiful place, but some food items were not up to par to the prices or hype. I don't know if it's summerlicious and the standards are waaaay down or we just... I was at a private function in one of their small rooms so I cannot give any info re how the main restaurant looked. The staff was very attentive. Each course tasted incredible. There was a lot of variety on the menu although it has more seafood than is usual but that suited me since I adore seafood. The garnishes... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
