Lovely place

Nice atmosphere. Was a little slow the night we went, so we got a good table by the window. The food was quite good and well prepared, although strangely several things on the menu were "out" that day. Good, if not overly-cheery, service. Not really a complaint though.

There are many excellent restaurants in this neighbourhood and Bravi is one of the best. The food is excellent and you can carry on a conversation. Service is friendly and efficient. The have a good Pino Grigio for $10 a glass which, in this area, is a fair price. It isn't cheap, but the food, service and atmosphere are worth... More

ended up running into this restaurant to get out of the rain. Had a drink at the bar and then myself and date decided to give the Keg a miss and try this. Glad we did :) I had the salmon and he had the steak which was served in a cast iron skillet. Both were delicious. Will be back... More

Had a reservation for Monday night the 18th. This was a celebration dinner for several of my friends that had helped me out. Called me Thursday morning and said they were not going to be open??? He said it was a computer glitch. Asked for suggestions and he did not seem very motivated to help me. Was not very apologetic... More

Went here for the first time recently based on reading some reviews. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. Able to hold a conversation at a normal volume, which is a pleasant change from so many Toronto restaurants these days where the sound is just so loud! Good options on the menu and interesting specials, decent wine list. Pricing is a bit high... More

Business lunch midweek, only a couple of tables occupied. Place is quiet and pleasantly decorated (nothing fancy) apart from a washroom with no soap and a waste basket stuck, the service was excellent and the waiter let us have a long conversation without bothering us. The bread is very good, even if I would prefer my own dipping saucer with... More

Thursday night, pre-ballet supper for four people. Two had the sea bass special (delicious), one ravioli and one gnocchi - all good. We shared two starters between four. The service was absolutely excellent - lovely, attentive waitress. Good Niagara Pinot Noir. Nice ambience and good pace. Recommended.

The food is always good, but its attraction for me is the atmosphere. I was entertaining a friend I hadn't seen in years and wanted somewhere with excellent food and where we could talk without unnecessary noise or interruption. The service is attentive but not overbearing and our food made it a superb evening.

We were invited by friends to Bravi and were delighted to have an absolutely superb evening out. The food is superb and the service outstanding. It is rare that you have 3 courses and everyone at the table feels that each course is outstanding. Bravi is now one of our favourite Toronto restaurants !

Our food was divine (scallops for me, grilled lamp chops for my husband-the green pea mash was new to him and tasty). Our waiter was friendly and helpful, and recommended an excellent wine with my entree. We had no reservation and arrived about 15 minutes before they were open for dinner, but the kitchen was ready so luckily we got... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
