Delicious Indian Food!!

We asked the bartender at our hotel if they would go to Little India for Indian food (based on Trip Advisor recommendations). He suggested Babur Indian Rest. instead. The location on Queen Street was easy to get to (via cab) and the interiors were recently done and very nice. The service was... read more

I've now eaten at four Indian Restaurants in Babur's vicinity (on Queen Street West), among others, and I was EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED with this one. I wouldn't have minded paying for an over-priced menu had the food actually tasted good! :( JUST BAD BAD BAD! Just really poor-quality Indian food, flavour-less, I don't know what else to say... I won't call... More

It's so refreshing to be in an Indian Restaurant with great taste not just in food but in decor and atmosphere. The menu is also not overwhelming. I love ethic restaurants but I never thought I would describe them as trendy and this one certainly is. The decor is a great mix of modern and rustic and you can see... More

Best food quality among Indian restaurants in the area. Close to Chinatown on one side and Eaton centre on the other.

Great food, not expensive, great service. One of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten in (including in very foreign countries). The Sheraton told us the food here is not that great, but it is the only Indian within walking distance and it was decent. We disagreed! It was really very very good. Highly recommended!

Not that long a go Babur used to be one of the best Indian restaurants in Toronto. Here came the renovation which did not end with just a change of decor but change in menu, taste, flavour....... Management and service is still the same which is the shocking part, but the rest is all gone. The decor ( better use... More

I appreciated the minimal etno-chic design of this restaurant: it's refreshing to be eating delicious indian food sitting in a clean space with soft lights and modern art pieces hanging on the walls . So often Indian restaurants become an overloaded experience of baroque decor, red tablecloths and gold trimmings. The menu is reassuringly limited to few options: a guarantee... More

After eating at many Indian restaurants in New York and New Jersey, I was eager to give Babur a shot based on other's reviews. However, we were disappointed at both the service and quality of the food. The service was subpar for an establishment that was recently remodeled and the food did not taste all too well for a kitchen... More

Definitely the best indian food we've had in Toronto (or anywhere else) so far. The atmosphere and service are great as well. The butter chicken, Paneer Quorma, Bharta, onion kulcha, lamb kabob, and gulab jamun are all superb. Went back twice in 2 days.
