Description: Buca Osteria Enoteca is an Italian restaurant from the King Street Food Company (Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse and The Saint Tavern). The menu aims to combine the ingredient specificity of rustic Italian cuisine with the culinary finesse of fine dining, building recipes around fresh and seasonal produce, but using a number of classical culinary techniques as well. The beautiful and understated main dining room has soaring high ceilings, exposed raw brick, and iron beams - using the natural elements of the heritage building. Towards the back, beyond the open curing room, a smaller wine bar, the Enoteca, is sleek and private.

Having dined at both Bar Buca for lunch and Buca King St for dinner in the past I figured it was time for a review. The food was excellent at both locations but I mostly want to praise Bar Buca's customer service. We had reservations at Buca King St for dinner and one of our guests showed up at Bar... More

Went here for New Year's Eve dinner with another couple. Quite the hype, so we were all anxious to taste the food. Ordered a salumi plate for the four of us. It was good, but sliced PAPER THIN!! Also, the aged balsamic was dispensed from an eye dropper.....really?? The mains were good, but not fantastic. This place was just too... More

I love how eclectic this menu is....what fun to explore some things that are prepared really really well. The crispy pig’s ears are the best crackle you will have. The lamb's brains alla saltimbocca, sicilian caper agliata appetizer is a rich treasure to be tried for sure. Warm bread knots are delicious....tuscan spiced crisp dumplings lardo are both sweat and... More

We had dinner in the main room. The noise was not sustainable, maybe because Torontonians need to scream instead of talking, the light insufficient to read the menu and the label of the wine served (they served the wrong wine). I'm an experienced Italian traveller. The food was awful: Good ideas ruined by the need of offering something "different" to... More

This was a truly great food experience. Very sophisticated. Chef Rob is one of the best in the city. Maybe the best.

Bar Buca (not to be confused with nearby Buca, same ownership), is a cool new tapas restaurant and bar. The cocktails are great and the menu has some delicious items. I recommend the nodini, calamari fritti, arancino, and polpette di capra.

Yes, we had read the Air Canada ranking of this place as the #6 restaurant in all of Canada. Yes, the salt-roasted beets were delicious, as were the duck eggs and burrata. The atmosphere was great - urban without being impersonal - and the open kitchen was full of busy chefs and servers looking very dedicated to their work. All... More

I took my son there for his birthday and we had the tasting menu. His was about meat and mine was vegetarian. The service was fantastic. Would go there again for a special occasion.

Buca (not the bar) is one of our favourite restaurants in Toronto and we looked forward to trying the bar version when we heard it was opening. Have had the pleasure of dining at Bar Buca several times now and have never been disappointed. The food is incredible, as is the service. Highly recommend this place...so much fun as well.... More
