Description: Buca Osteria Enoteca is an Italian restaurant from the King Street Food Company (Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse and The Saint Tavern). The menu aims to combine the ingredient specificity of rustic Italian cuisine with the culinary finesse of fine dining, building recipes around fresh and seasonal produce, but using a number of classical culinary techniques as well. The beautiful and understated main dining room has soaring high ceilings, exposed raw brick, and iron beams - using the natural elements of the heritage building. Towards the back, beyond the open curing room, a smaller wine bar, the Enoteca, is sleek and private.

We enjoyed 2 meals at Bar Buca. Tapas style supper and brunch. Both were excellent and varied. Service was friendly, courteous & professional. Food was interesting & delicious. Atmosphere was laid back.

First of all, there is Buca Bar (75 Portland Street) and Buca Restaurant (604 King Street West). They are within a block of each other. We ate at Buca Restaurant. Now opened is Buca Yorkville (at the new Four Seasons) http://www.buca.ca/ Our meal was excellent. Every item we ordered was unique, well prepared and delightful. My wife's main was milk... More

Buca (King St. West) and Bar Buca (Portland St.) have now been jointed by Buca Yorkville, next to the Four Seasons Hotel. Chef Rob Gentile's food continues to evolve but remains by far the most traditional and inventive take on Northern Italian cuisine. The Yorkville outpost skews a tad more to fish than meat, but doesn't want to be known... More

Fantastic service as soon as you walk in ( make a reservation) . Great atmosphere! We went with another couple and did a large sampling of the menu. The groups favourite was the pizza hands down. Dessert was amazing! We had a traditional chocolate Italian dessert that the pour chocolate sauce over, I cannot remember the name but it was... More

What do you do when you want to try everything on the menu ? You make a promise to yourself to come back, and I will. Date night and in need of a restaurant that will tell the person you love how much - go here. There were no reservations available but we walked in and were seated at a... More

Couldn't get reservations at Buca Restaurant so decided to try it's pretty little sister restaurant. Bar Buca doesn't take reservations but we did not have to wait for seats on a Saturday at 7. Seating is at communal tables or at the bar overlooking the kitchen. My husband, who loves to cook, enjoyed watching the workings of the kitchen. There... More

Loved this place. Really good service that was attentive and knowledgeable. Excellent pizzas with top quality ingredients and perfect dough. Definitely going back to taste some of the pasta dishes.

A nice modern open kitchen décor. An extensive wine list for wine lovers. Dishes is perfect for sharing among 2-4 persons. They can seat about 30 people and has a 10-12 feet long bar that you can stand for drinks. They have a patio outside the restaurant. Unfortunately, they do not accept reservation.

On Thursday night my wife and I arrived without reservation. The place was hoppin' so they set us up at the bar and were seated shortly thereafter. We chose the two tasting menus with wine pairings. Honestly, it was a fantastic choice. Flavourful, visually stunning and the pairings were perfect. Our waiter Steven was a great host. My only complaint... More

We absolutely love it here. Atmosphere and food is the best. We had the pigs ears and warm bread knots to start, would highly recommend. For our main we both had the bigoli.... The best pasta dish you will ever have. Staff were pleasant, not as friendly as previous though which was a little disappointing. Overall a fantastic choice.
