Description: Buca Osteria Enoteca is an Italian restaurant from the King Street Food...
Buca Osteria Enoteca is an Italian restaurant from the King Street Food Company (Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse and The Saint Tavern). The menu aims to combine the ingredient specificity of rustic Italian cuisine with the culinary finesse of fine dining, building recipes around fresh and seasonal produce, but using a number of classical culinary techniques as well. The beautiful and understated main dining room has soaring high ceilings, exposed raw brick, and iron beams - using the natural elements of the heritage building. Towards the back, beyond the open curing room, a smaller wine bar, the Enoteca, is sleek and private.

Mother's Day Brunch

It was very contemporary, high tables and stools, the best Negroni I have ever had, although when serving a strong aperitivo a small side snack is required! which, they only do in Italy. The service was perfect! There were few things on the menu for brunch but they were all amazing! I love that... read more

I lived at 75 Portland (building of this resto) for 4 years, the last 2 patiently awaiting the arrival of the Lil brother of the full BUCA restaurant a few hundreds yards away on King.... which was a smashing success and still is one of the best Italian eateries in the city - for sure. They took too long to... More

OMG! One of the best Croissant ever. I always have it with a coffee. This place is hip and trendy. Excellent place to have a late snake too.

Go there before they serve brunch and it's OK to sit there with a coffee until it's time. Amazing bambalone - vanilla cream filled donut. Perfect crunch with sugar, fresh, not greasy, creamiest vanilla cream filling. I could eat a dozen of these. Other dishes interesting - sausage with egg (forgotten what it is called) could have been a touch... More

Great service from the time you walk in. Food was good but my dish was like warm at best. Portions way too small. They could double the size of the pasta dishes for pennies and they would just be average size and they charge $19/dish. Won't go back.

I've previously eaten at Buca on King and really enjoyed it. I was hopeful that Bar Buca would also deliver a great dining experience. There was also an additional challenge. This time I was with someone who does not eat any meat or shellfish. Our choices were restricted to vegetable, dairy, and fish. We ordered the Quebec smoked herring, the... More

We went here for dinner one weeknight, and found the food was very good but the service was, well, weird. The server was very attentive, but one of our small group made a special request - no sauce on a particular dish - and received a five-minute lecture from the server on why it really should be served as it... Bar Buca is kinda like the adventurous sibling to the Buca restaurants that are around Toronto. ( I think there are 3 now) I see reviews on here that refer to meals that they had to have had at the other Buca restaurants. Bar Buca is unmarked on the street and very trendy, modern inside. Lots of concrete, and industrial... More

This si for the main restaurant, down under via the alley off of King West. The meal was superb: Charcuterie plate to start was very good, my partner's ravioli was sublime, my veal tenderloin was transcendent and the tiramisu was too die for. The menu here has some very interesting and unusual dishes. If you want the usual Italian fare,... More
