Buca Osteria Enoteca is an Italian restaurant from the King Street Food Company (Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse and The Saint Tavern). The menu aims to combine the ingredient specificity of rustic Italian cuisine with the culinary finesse of fine dining, building recipes around fresh and seasonal produce, but using a number of classical culinary techniques as well. The beautiful and understated main dining room has soaring high ceilings, exposed raw brick, and iron beams - using the natural elements of the heritage building. Towards the back, beyond the open curing room, a smaller wine bar, the Enoteca, is sleek and private.

After theatre supper.

Bar Buca is down steps to a cavernous, industrial basement. It has a great atmosphere. We had glasses of wine or prosecco at the bar first. The Irish bartender was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. The menu is very 'meaty' and rustic with lots of plates for sharing. We all found it delicious... read more

Our party of four adults had dinner here. What we liked: The food tasted good and the dishes were well presented. The staff were helpful or at least tried to be (when my husband wasn't happy with some of the red wines he sampled, the waiter remained patient and helpful). The lofty part of the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.... More

Just had Sunday brunch here with a friend and we have liked it very much. The food is delicious and they also have a great choice of brunch-cocktails and various coffees. We sat outside which was not special however the inside is lovely with a cozy atmosphere. Strongly recommended.

A luke warm greeting around 8pm for dinner. 45 minute wait. Not too crowded. No one offered a drink or appie while we waited. Finally went to the bar to order a drink to be totally ignored for 5 minutes. Finally, acknowledged, friend ordered a coffee and bartender smirked at him (espresso was ready awfully quickly). Finally seated.Shared tables which... More

Sleek and industrial looking with communal seating, it’s located on Portland just off King. We were there for lunch – reservations weren’t an option but it was only nicely crowded so we had no wait. We chose to do several sharing plates but I noticed many people looking for a quick lunch were ordering the stuffed focaccia. There are a... More

Was expecting to be impressed and was until the food arrived. Tried all 5 cicchetti & fritti and was left completely ... bored. Staff was great talking up the intricacies of the dishes, but the supply of good fresh ingredients are less important to them I suppose.

It was very contemporary, high tables and stools, the best Negroni I have ever had, although when serving a strong aperitivo a small side snack is required! which, they only do in Italy. The service was perfect! There were few things on the menu for brunch but they were all amazing! I love that they use the best ingredients and... More

I lived at 75 Portland (building of this resto) for 4 years, the last 2 patiently awaiting the arrival of the Lil brother of the full BUCA restaurant a few hundreds yards away on King.... which was a smashing success and still is one of the best Italian eateries in the city - for sure. They took too long to... More

OMG! One of the best Croissant ever. I always have it with a coffee. This place is hip and trendy. Excellent place to have a late snake too.
