The food is of exceptional quality and stands out as such compared to others in the area. Lamb vindaloo has great flavours, lamb kebabs are succulent, and palak paneer is flavourful (they're always part of the order). The folks at Bindia also have a high standard for service - together with the great food quality and location - they're it... More

Always searching for a great curry since leaving the UK. Was here in late November with my wife and this is the best I've had in Canada. The food was excellent so tasty. Northern Indian cuisine at it's best. The owners wife and staff provided great service will be back as soon as we are in Toronto again paul

We've eaten here twice and both times have been excellent. Between us we've eaten at many Indian restaurants in India and Britain and we agree that Bindia is excellent. The tandoori chicken is juicy and tasty, generous portion. Each dish we've had has been perfectly prepared and spiced and for the most part, the service is excellent. Cocktails are very... More

Several times I walked by there weren't too many customers, but reviews have been good so decided to try. Could choose level of spicyness - mild, medium and spicy. The medium was relatively mild, but it had so much flavour I was happy with that choice. Had Curry chicken, Lamb Vindaloo and Vegetable Korma. Naan was very good. Would return... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. There is a small menu to choose from and unusual cocktails. Liked all my food. Had a coconut fish curry and black lentils as a side.

Restaurant is clean and well decorated. Service was friendly but slow, only one waiter for the restaurant. First visit so I went with the basics (samosas, butter chicken and naan). The food was good but not the best Indian I have had.

I went into Bindia as a substitute for next door's Market Catch being closed. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door: While being immediately greeted by the host, I noticed the restaurant had very modern decor with fine lines (a favorite style of mine). Since I wasn't starving, I decided to order only a main. I opted... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
